Fatal Labyrinth (Wii Virtual Console / Mega Drive)

Game Profile

Dragonia, the castle of doom, has come upon the world and its minions have stolen the Holy Goblet.

Without it, the world will be in darkness forever. You play as Trykaar, who must enter the castle and traverse its thirty levels to retrieve the Holy Goblet. There is no other storyline; its dungeons are generated randomly each time you play, in a similar fashion to the roguelike games which originated on the PC.

Reminds me of Ys, for some reason, only without the enemy pushing.
The title is quite ... interesting.

I quite enjoyed it on the Ultimate Genesis Collection. It was a fun Rogue-like on a system relatively devoid of RPGs in general.

@ Starboy: It sure was, but only for half a day or so before they removed it without replying to any questions as to why they did.

Oh. As I said before, I barely check the Coming Soon list. I assumed that it happened years ago, but, guess not.

Man, I positively adored this game. I don't know if this or JauntTrooper: Mission Thunderbolt was my first roguelike, but either way... I will most definitely be getting this. I have highly anticipated this being released on VC!

Reminds me of "Double Dungeons" for the TG-16.
Except from an overhead view rather than first-person.
Even the gameplay is the same.
Hope this one is better because Double Dungeons stank pretty bad.

I watched my brother play it and he got stuck in a room he couldn't get out of.
