Review Mario Kart Super Circuit (Wii U eShop / GBA)
Good for another lap
When the Nintendo 64 hit the market and suggested that 2D games had gone the way of the dodo, many of us that were fond of fancy sprite-work were forced to dust off elderly hardware to scratch our itch for the classic genres we held dear — until the Game Boy Advance came along, that is. Often reflected upon as the second...

It’s hard to believe that the Mario Kart franchise has been around for nearly 20 years and appeared on eight different consoles. Mario Kart: Super Circuit may have been first released in 2001, but now it’s back for a whole new generation of players ten years after release through the 3DS Ambassador program. There are four cups to...

Poll Box Art Brawl: Duel - Mario Kart: Super Circuit
Just how super is it..?
Hi folks, and welcome to another edition of Box Art Brawl! Last time we took a look at one of the Sega Genesis' finest games, Castlevania: Bloodlines (also known as Castlevania: The New Generation). It was a close call and it looked like Japan might have run away with the crown, but ultimately, the North American variant -...

Scratching that glitch
The role of a debugger is an important one in any kind of games development. These are the people who play through the games as they are being developed, pointing out any moment in which it goes wrong and crashes or lets the player do something that they shouldn't normally be able to. In years gone by, the debuggers had to...
Poll What's The Best Mario Kart Game?
Rate them Rainbow Roads
Some of us here at Nintendo Life Towers are convinced that your favourite Mario Kart game is simply the one you played first with three other players in the same room — or just one other player if you were there at the very beginning with Super Mario Kart on Super NES. We tend to think this because while we can all agree...

About The Game
Classic Mario Kart action is back once again, this time in a colorful, lightning-fast game that you can take anywhere.
Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Wario, Yoshi and Bowser are all tearing up the track, tossing Koopa Shells and laying banana peels along the way.
Mario Kart Super Circuit puts your driving skills to the test on 40 tracks, each littered with wild weapons and obstacles. Choose to play as any of your favorite characters as you speed around classic and brand-new tracks. If you're feeling combative, try out the creative weaponry (mushrooms, bananas, thunder bolts, and stars) in Battle mode.
Feel like making some friends eat your dust? No problem. Four players can compete in Mario Kart Super Circuit using only one Game Pak! If each player has a copy of the game, bonus features and new modes of play become available.

Meh, havent played it before, and I have DS and 7 now so I'm not that interested.
Exited for this as an ambassador game!
Why can't these games come out sooner?
We're dying over here.
Fun racing title, and my fourth Game Boy Advance game
This is the suckiest mario kart out there
Worst mario kart game ever
Best mario kart game.
This game is not for you silly people who like easy things and hand holding and cant accept practicing the controls.
This is THE mario kart for HARDCORE players.
Try getting the night time title screen.
I bet you casuals wont even be able to get a 3 star on 50cc
(Or better, try getting even 1 star on the Extra courses)
The controls for this game are god awful, this game is proof that Mario Kart needs analog controls to really work.
@Gridatttack I don't personally recall crappy controls like in Mario Kart Super Circuit being a requirement for a hardcore game stupid.
Easily the absolute worst in the Mario Kart Series IMO thanks to its crappy controls, its tinny as bad audio that is also a bit muffled, and bad graphics that only look impressive for GBA standards but then again the graphics from those 3D Nickelodeon GBA games look better than the graphics in this game, I mean there are 3D racing games for the GBA out there that have better quality audio, better graphics, better controls, and better gameplay overall like Nicktoons Racing for example.
@GamingDude800 that's just your subjective opinion.
Controls take a time to get used to, just like the awful steering of MK8, the staggerness of DD, etc. but all games are enjoyable.
If it was as bad as people whine, this entry would have been universally panned when it released back then.
It's true it hasn't aged well, and other titles have general better controls for all people, but this is not as bad as people make out. (I hated it at first too, as this was the last mario kart game I played, since others were more accesible to get)
