Anyone downloading this one today? I know I am as soon as it hits the shop. It looks quite promising for 500 points. Leave impressions of the game here!

[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
What button do you guys press to do the beat? I can't find a button that's comfortable...or I could just be holding the Wiimote wrong. >_>

Man, this game is hard! After like the 3rd level the difficulty really ramps up! Overall i really like this game. Its good that it controls very smoothly because if it didn't, it would be a sloppy broken mess. It requires a very high level of precision in later levels. I feel like maybe it could have been a little meatier but for 5 bucks its ok. I've never actually played the original version on IPhone but I imagine it was pretty awful because on that device, the screen moves with your hands. That has to be terribly annoying. So I'm pretty satisfied with the game despite its grueling difficulty.
Awful. The controls are terrible and unresponsive to a new degree. It's too simple and the only really good thing that came out of the demo was the music. Much worse than the Bit. Trip series. Good job Gaijin.

If you think the controls are unresponsive, you've got a broken Wii Remote. It's so precise that I use it to test out Wii Remotes from 3rd party companies. Even the slightest tilt registers perfectly. Maybe you're not doing it right.

Must be. Because the tilting is very unresponsive on my Wii remote it's frustrating. If there was an alternative control scheme to this disaster, this game would be fun, but theres not (none that I know of), which is my biggest complaint.

Yeah, the controls are perfect. I do have one third party wiimote that never worked well with Bit.Trip Beat because it was biased to leave the paddle in the middle of the screen and then would suddenly jerk up/down once you tilted past a certain angle, so I imagine it would be a nightmare using that wiimote in this game. If the controls seem unresponsive, it's probably your wiimote that's the problem.
So far I love this game. The only thing I don't care for is the bright pink/green -- it looks so 1990.
@Chrono: Are you sure your controlling it right? When I first played, I tried tilting as in moving the remote side to side much like in Fluidity. Turns out, you must hold the remote NES style and twist it toward and away from you. Are you controlling it that way?
I have this on the iPhone and it works perfectly there. The controls are great, and it's a simple enough game that the fact that you have to tilt the screen doesn't screw me up (I found the bits too tiny on bit.trip beat to be easy to play that way). It's very addictive, and I believe it's only 1.99 on the app store. It's worth the $5 on WW, I think, but since it's such a great game on the iPhone (and possibly Droid), this could be a good opportunity to save money. They both have 15 levels, I believe, so you get the whole game on your phone.
Any way you get it, it's a great game!
