A lot of those looked good. Super excited about Meat Boy lol

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I've already let this game destroy me on two other consoles, and I'm not sure I'm up for the abuse again. I'm glad Nintendo is finally getting it since Super Meat Boy is obviously a play on Super Mario Bros.

I better I put Super Meat Boy ( next to Isaac Afterbirth and The Legend of Bam-bo ) on my wishlist.

Super Meat Boy arrives on the Wii U eshop next Thursday, May 12th. FINALLY!!! What once started as a WiiWare title finally makes it's way to Nintendo some 6-7 years later.

It's been listed on the eshop for a week or two now but you just can't buy it yet.

Yep, I know. By showing up I meant the moment it's available to purchase.

Anyway, I've been playing it non-stop. I completed the first ''chapter'' a little while ago with all of the bandages, A+, etc. and I'm now making some decent progress on The Hospital. It's deeply challenging, addictive and the controls are really good. Also, I love the warp zones' different artstyles resembling various retro gaming systems. Money well spent on this one for sure.

Sooooo... anyone else playing this?

I'm wrapping up the fifth world aka Rapture and I already completed all of The End minus the boss. At this point in the game I check the leaderboards and notice there's only like 12 or 13 people who have beaten the levels, which is kind of depressing.

I'm playing it on and off, it works as good inbetween break game when playing other games.

Is this game that hard, as that puts me off a little? Is it worth getting, I love platform games and it is on sale in the UK for a little longer.

the game is challenging but approachable. It is really fun and I recommend it... I played the PC version, and planning on picking up the Wii U version when I can afford it.

If you are just planning to get to the final boss and beat it, it is very doable. Otherwise, if you intend to get all the bandages/warp zones/characters/A+/hundred percent completion, prepare a good bucket of patience because that's far from an easy task. The dark world stages are far harder than those from the light world - which are the only ones you need to get to the end of the game - and some of the bandages are a real struggle to collect.

I'm now past the mid point in the last, extra world, The Cotton Alley, with absolutely everything before completed, and I'm reaching the 14k death mark. Make of that what you will.

I'd really recommend the game either way, though. It's fun, well designed, addicting as hell, and the controls are great yet challenging to master. Honestly, by now it's pretty much my favorite platformer ever, which is saying a lot.

Completed the normal and dark stages up to chapter 4 with A+ ranks,
haven't found all bandages and warp zones yet. About 50-60% but it seems I need to unlock certain characters first in order to collect some bandages.

For a platformer the level design is pretty fun. The stages are never big enough to be frustrating. And there's so much variety. Every level was made with love for detail and even the dark stages are not just a quick rehash.

The controls/physics are quickly responding and tight enough to do unbelievable stunts.
There seems to be a surprising amount of content, including online leaderboards and replay saving.
And there's hilarious stuff happening in cutscenes story-wise.
Graphics and music are pretty good as well, for this kind of game, only thing to stuck out was the red sauce would not getting stuck on conveyor belts, only on walls and saws.
Off-screen TV is supported as well, but I'm playing this in full HD

The wait for this game since the WiiWare days was worth it.
I think WiiWare highlights like World of Goo, Hydroventure, La-Mulana, MotoHeroz, My Life as a King, and Retro City Rampage would have been great to play in HD again, throw in the ~Art Style~ Collection HD (incl. Cubello, Rotohex, Orbient, Light Trax, Penta Tentacles) and Snowpack Park with EU release (both made by Nintendo and Skip) for good measure. I know I would buy them all.

I finally completed the last level in the game a few hours ago. 16265 deaths for the 106% - that's probably about the amount of deaths I may have accumulated in all other games I've ever played, lol. However it was rarely frustrating, because of the tight controls, generally short level length, and super quick respawn upon dying.

Loved the game, but now that I've fully completed it, although I miss it a bit since I was so hooked, I don't think I'd ever go through it again. It was a worthwhile investment of my time for sure, but a double take would be bad for my sanity. I deeply admire the speedrunners who have mastered the thing to the point they can complete absolutely everything in under 2 hours with less than a couple hundred deaths - it's incredible.

@SKTTR - Your best early shot to get some of those bandages that are impossible for Meat Boy is probably Ogmo, who has a double jump. I think he was the unlockable character in the fourth world's red warp zone, but don't quote me on that. Another choice would be The Kid, but you'd have to wait until the fifth world for that and the stages to unlock him are far more of a struggle than Ogmo's. Good luck on your journey~

@LinkSword Unless they changed the order for this version (doubt it), Ogmo was in the Salt Factory. World 3. The Kid is insanely tough to get, but so very worth it. Easily one of the best characters in the game, with his main disadvantage being only his speed. Flywrench was World 4.

A nifty calendar (Updated 9/13/15)
The UGXloggery ... really needs an update.

Yup, you got it right. Thanks for the correction.
