Topic: Sonic X-Treme...please read.

Ok..Sonic X-Treme.....
for those who don't know what game that is.....back when the Sega Saturn was realesed there was gonna be a full fledged BRAND NEW Sonic game and bascially.....it was cancelled.
But i dont know about you(it looked fun and the music "space Queens" is amazing)
Is there a chance this could make its way to WiiWare or Wii?
I keep thinking WiiWare as it didn't seem to process that much good graphics anyway...(yes its a saturn game but i dont know...it just looks like it can be ported to WiiWare)

Id love it if they could re-make it on WiiWare....how about you guys?

I don't think so, wasn't the reason it was canned because they simply decided it wasn't good enough for commercial release, I was really disappointed it never came out being a Saturn owner at the time.

It looked so cool...i seen videos and sure it wasn't gonna be a Mario64 beater but it was unique(sphere world like levels etc)
The song...again "Space Queens" it was great.
look on youtube for that song as it really is epic and cool.

They should get all of the people who worked on it that is still alive, and make it for DS or WiiWare. It would rock. If it had came out, Sonic would be what Mario is today. It needs to be finished,

I read in retro gamer that Sonic extreme IS being worked on again... but unofficially. A few of the original devs are supposed to be involved too. Just thought I'd share.

Yep, project S is a fan project involving an original developer of the game. There's some video around the net of its engine. Pretty sweet.

If only this could apply to lots of cancelled games (like Star Fox 2)... I would be surprised if that game would come out in Virtual Console!

Also, the game was cancelled due to time constraints.

By the way, do you remember that the game once had two engines (game and boss), but they were told to have the entire game run on the boss engine? If you ask me, I think that this game, if ever going to be re-attempted, should use the separate game and boss engines as originally intended!
