My record was 02:42.596 let see anyone top that though the character's were in the way at the begining of the race.

Metakight: You must have got extremely lucky. I can't seem to get past the 3:00 mark. The cpu is sooo cheap, it is not funny! It's almost like it has to make sure that no matter what, i get screwed. Even if i do decent they'll nail me left and right! The sad part is that I'm getting screwed one way or another no matter what vehicle I use. Also, I cant seem to get the bullets and stars enough (which I suspect you did to get that score. Good job by the way)

I'm going to try auto soon and if i can only make it better that way, I'll be annoyed.

@longtimegamer: I suggest you use any vehicle with great offroad stats. They give a more precisioned turn. I used the Magikruiser, but the Dolphin Dasher or Offroader will work well, too. And the first item box should give out either a golden mushroom or a starman for a good time. Mine gave me a golden shroom. Don't forget to dodge any stray blue shells if you have any mushrooms left over.

DODGE THEM?? I don't think I knew you COULD actually dodge one except maybe by being invincible. I'll try the mushroom thing for the shell if I can. thanks.
Yea i used the dolphin and magikruiser among others. The ones with high acceleration seem good because of the constant attacks. I think my biggest problem is being attacked. I was getting p*ssed yesterday.

Machu: LoL. I know how you feel.

One I tricked I learned on the course if that when the penguins come you can not come between them .

Another tip: If you have a shell and a red shell-blocking item to spare, you can break the crates with the shell for a better drifting line with good aim. What's more is that a mushroom could pop out. I haven't used this idea, but if you do, let me know if it shaves time.

2.50 is the best I can manage.

Maybe I will be able to reduce it a couple of seconds at best.

Yaay! Just dodged my first blue shell. First time I actually had a mushroom when the blues headed my way. Easy as cake when you had the mush. I got a new personal record but nothing to brag about. Around 2:53

@Mange: Congratulations! I felt exactly the same way when I dodged my first blue shell with a mushroom. I still remember the track: Mario Circuit.

Did two laps perfectly, but then all hell broke loose on the third lap. Shells, lightning, penguins and into the water. (inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, I'm calm now)

@AndyK81: Yea it sucks when they do that, but it was your fault for doing so well. _{They can't have THAT.} (Seriously it sucks that they did that to you dude.)

Its pretty hard to have everything on your side.

Once I found an unlimited mushroom in the first present and did two perfect laps, then, when I was sure to do less than 2.45 two blue shells and a thunder wake me up from my utopical dream.

Yet another improvement for me, somewhere around 2:37.8xx. I still get hit by one blue shell and one penguin. The current world record is around 2:23. How do they do it?!
