Ok guys, I need your kind advice, I want to buy a new game, I've only been buying VC games cause I needed to catch up with the SNES releases, but now I really think it's time to buy a new one, as you can probably see, I like old school gameplay, I love platformers but what's keeping me from buying this one is that apparently, this is a short game, I love coming back to games so is this actually worth the money? I know it's only 27.99 (amazon) so it looks like a steal (maybe)... anyway, like I said, is it over too soon? will I keep coming back for more?
It can be beat in 4-5 hours, but it unlocks time runs and the levels backwards. So there's other things to do once it's completed. Definitely worth 30 bucks, it's also beautifully re-made, and a decent story. The more people that buy it the better too, as hopefully they will get started on the 2nd and 3rd Wii versions.
I'm still planning to pick up a copy. I'm not in a real hurry, so I'm probably going to get it at the mall when I'm going to watch Terminator Salvation next week. Gotta have something cuddly and cute to counteract that dark grittiness.

Just found out that Amazon sold out of Klonoa. Now they have a secoundary seller advertised instead of theirs. You can still order them from Amazon ,but now you'll have to wait 2 to 5 weeks. Thankfuly I ordered my copy before this happened.
Still waiting guess this is what I get for getting free shipping. I should get it by Monday I hope.
Enjoy the game. It's quite fun. I just lent my copy to a coworker but I plan on playing it again this summer. I picked up the GBA version used from GS for 4 bucks. It's also awesome, and easily worth two or three times that much.
Oops didn't relize that. Great now I'm going to have till wait till Tuesday. (and the waiting continues) EDIT Oh wait false call I saw Victoria day and thought Memorial day. Yay it can come Monday again.
I played the original way back when on the PSone, i rented it from blockbuster i think. I recently picked up the wii version and still enjoy it today. ALthough its not fun when my friends found the case with the bunny and the blue puff ball and teased me for the rest of the night.

I got it from a local store, and I'm glad to say the style is still there.
HOWEVER, the game is much shorter than Klonoa 2, which is pretty short in of itself. The levels are shorter, the story seems to be less intriguing, and the number of levels itself is smaller. FYI: The remake was developed by Paon, whose last game was Nintendo-published Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast. Interesting indeed. Mix in the fact the game used assets from Klonoa 2 (I'm sure they did) and game design from the first game, and I have a feeling this game was one with a shoe-string budget. It probably doesn't need to sell well for it to do well, but considering it's sales in Japan, it really needs to pickup here.
Aaaanyways, the game is good, but very short. I'd recommend it either have more content or be cheaper, but whatev. Still kickass Klonoa.
it's short the first playthrough, I clocked about 4 hours 15 minutes missed rescuing 2 of all the friends. But the mirror mode also has bonus challenge stages in them- and these bonus stages are much more difficult. You could sink another couple hours trying to master them, although that might border on frustration. I found the horizontal wiimote as controller to be the most responsive.
