I picked up the Wii version of Klonoa yesterday. So far I’m enjoying it! I’ve always been a platforming nut and I’m surprised I never bought the original. But there were so many videogame mascots and mediocre platformers back in the Playstion/N64/Saturn generation. I just ignored the original Klonoa back in the day.

Sorry, I’m only in vision 3-1, I think. I’m glad to hear that the game will get harder though, as it is a bit easy where I’m at .

I've beaten the main game. The Extra Vision keeps frustrating me.

@mastersworddude: Hit all three of them with Klonoa, because the enemies take too long to regenerate. Also, be careful because there's no checkpoint afterwards.

EDIT: Sorry if I posted more than once. Site wasn't responding... XP

Objection

So is this recommended to people who never played it or is it better for the nostalgic who loved the original?

I've never played the original and I'm definitely getting this. I love platformers.

Does buying this discourage this developer form making new games? That is a popular theory I heard somewhere.....

Hardcore, casual = marketing. The real divide is between arcade and narrative games.

It's not a port. I'm fine with remakes.

Adam

Considering this game is not already available on Wii, the point is irrelevant and not parallel at all. Also, the attempts to spread ridicule of the NPC debate to every thread possible are getting tiresome.

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.

"Hideo Yoshizawa, the executive director/producer of the Klonoa series has stated the if the series was well received, he is willing to remake Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil for the Wii, and will likely make a Klonoa 3 afterwards, to develop the character."
BUY THIS GAME NOW!

That's why I'm hoping this game sells well. I'd love to see a remake of Klonoa 2 and a brand new game.

Cheezy

I want to play the original first...if I can get it somehow.

Just ordered this from amazon.com. Now comes the waiting. BTW @ Cheezy you could order the original game threw Amazon.com

I rule when it comes to games. So deal with it.

@ gameking23: For how much. I looked on eBay and there were only about four copies for about 60 bucks, a bit steep for a PSOne game that shouldn't be that rare in the first place.

@Cheezy for at least $47. At that price I would go buy the new one.

When Klonoa didn't sell well, the rumor has it that Namco destroyed many of the unsold copies thus making the game quite difficult to find in later years. I have my original that I keep mainly because it's worth a little money.

That sounds allot like what happened when Atari couldn't sell E.T. Of course the only difference here is that E.T. was horrible and Klonoa is great.

I have no idea why companies would do that, but it makes alot of sense, since not many copies are available. Where did they all go? POOF!
