Are the any Wii Secrets that hasn't been announced, or was later released after an update? Post them here.

One feature i found is with the updated photo channel. You can customize the channel loading screen to your own photo.

Remember now you need version 1.1-b

Enter into the channel
Select a photo, and click on post
You'll see that you have a the option to post to the message board or post to the Wii Menu. Now every time you open the channel, your image will be showing instead of the Default.

Any other hidden gems?

All I know is that when you buy a wii now they come with a tutorial channel that tells you how to use all of the channels on the wii. I'm not sure if you can download it on the wii shop channel though.

A lot of people dunno that the Photo Channel got AVI support with the big 4.0 update.

Another thing that the Wii can do, that a later generation might not know. Is that you can email your Wii. If you go the messageboard and register a new user, instead of clicking Wii click other, and then you enter an email. After that, the email you sent it to, will get an email, asking you to reply to the message to confirm. After that you reply, you can email the Wii as much as you want. I think you can even email photos. It takes 15 minutes for the message to reach the Wii, and i believe this is the way NIntendo contacts all of the Wiis. It's actually a cool feature, because if your running a tournament, or a big announce is announce on a site, for example NintendoLife hint hint you can just register with your Wii and never miss a moment

That Tutorial Channel came on my girlfriends Wii. It's for complete idiots who shouldn't have figured out how to access that channel in the first place... It's pointless, and takes up OVER 1000 BLOCKS! Meaning it needs to be deleted for the Wii to have any decent storage whatsoever!

I can't get my .avi shows working with the Photo Channel, although they claim it's supported. And OP, that feature is common knowledge, the update message for the channel Nintendo sent out had instruction on how to do that.

they take up space, but the wii has this thing that when a certain amount of messages have been stored on it, it deltes them from the first message....so everytime a new message is sent to you an older one will be deleted...this includes photos so if you dont delete ur messages tyour photos can get deleted....

Where do I put my signature?

Two little contributions:

  • With D-Pad in Nintendo Channel you can control the volume, and with B the time bar.
  • In Mii Channel press A, B, 1, and hold 2 for five seconds for activate DS connection (useless).

go to the mii channle. right when you click on start hold down 1,2,A,B on your wii remote then when the screen comes on you will see a feature that says connect to DS next to mii parade

This is ground control to major Tom, you've really made the grade. And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare

Not really useless. I mean so far, its only good for Personal Trainer: Walking, but it's not useless.

It proves that Nintendo could have something in the cards for this function.

It had already been mentioned that Nintendo intends to bring a 'Sims' game to the DS that uses mii's aka. "Friend Connection". Either pregenerated ones from the mii channel or ones you make in the game.
I actually wondered how they went about getting the from your wii to your DS but now it makes complete sense

The game can be found here http://gmstar.com/ds/tomodachicoll.html

the direct translation of the games description is...

"And live in TOMODACHI DS.
Not the usual start of the day.

Players will create their own Mii player.
Similar in shape as well as friends of his own Mii, you can make up to look just like his personality.

Mii and play together, to help to solve your problems sometimes.
Also, Mii and marriage or between friends, or we will build a different relationship with the real world.

● Mii looks of friends and family are registered to the nature of course, until the person can似SERU voice, just like Mii friends will speak with individual players.
Crated a Mii in the Wii can also be sent to the DS.

● Mii or create a relationship of friends, or fight, or love, or separation, or marriage-like the DS in Mii築KIMASU and relationships.

● Mii Mii to resort to hunger and communication is to give you food.
Letters and cards and ass, you asked to play different.
When people want to confess, to give advice.

● Mii on the island and more of the island inhabited by a variety of facilities are available to help.
Hall of enemy positions in the profession to introduce you to fit.
"TV Tower", two times morning and evening, the news flow on the island."

...and its release date is 18th of June.
So I think this explains the new hidden feature on the mii channel.
