About the SD Card stuff for Excite Bots... It's just one feature they've removed, and playing a custom soundtrack from an SD card should not be a reason to buy or not to buy a game. There are many easy ways around this, such as muting the TV (or just music if there is an option) and playing a stereo or laptop nearby. I think at least 99% of game buyers buy games because of... well... the game rather than the soundtrack.
@Eugene Sounds great! One question: Can you bring a guest online? If I am playing online, can a friend on the same system play with me via splitscreen? Guest play was the only reason Kart entertained me for more than a week, so I hope to see it in Bots, though it's not a make-or-break deal.
@Adam I know this. If the opposite was the case though, Mushroom Men would've sold well. Lol.
I guess what I'm trying to say is I've got Excitetruck and I've got Kart. Both games were done so well that they still keep me entertained, so taking anything out at all is a bad way to keep a customer buying. If I didn't have Excitetruck already though, I would consider getting 'bots.
Meanwhile, I'll be waiting for an F-Zero announcement.
1. It is the same kind of game as Mario Kart, and I already have Mario Kart (it is nothing like a kart racer) 2. It is not origional (false) 3.It does not have WIi Speak or SD card support (big deal, not a negative on gameplay at all)
1) I know that. 2) It's an Excite game with goofy robots, that's original. Beyond that, no. 3) I already told you this does not make or break a title.
This was never meant to be an argument thread. I suggest you just stick with Excitebots statements and stop the arguing. It's getting you nowhere.
You do not know if it is origional or not - you have not played it. So who are you to say? My comments are in RESPONSE to things you have posted, and everyone can read them. I am just trying to educate you about the game, as I have played it.
True, I am not getting anywhere, but neither are you, where is you advantage over me on that one? - Afterall you are not going to buy the game because you can get more enjoyment going online and complaining about hypothetical features it does not have...meanwhile I am playing a very fun arcade racer... I just do not understand game culture, no offense, I am too practical a guy to build 'perfect' games in the clouds....hell, I just like to play the good games that are actually made and released, instead of living off vapor hype. You can content yourself to just smell an imaginary steak or you can actually eat one, so pass the steak sauce, I am hungry.

No guest online - there is 2 player splitscreen offline with no bots, like Excite Trucks. So that is too bad for your situation.
Hardcore, casual = marketing. The real divide is between arcade and narrative games.
^Even more of a reason not to buy this game. Already got the multiplayer I need in Excitetrucks. There is also a "quote" feature on this site... And eugene, you've gone into long-winded nonsense with your steak rant.
And if you want to plaster me as a "feature-whore" gamer... the next game I'm getting is Punch-Out!! which has no online to speak of!
So why are you so hung up on features with this game? Did you read a game review and adopt their opinions, game unplayed? Hmmm. Are you really making ME look 'bad' here?
Excite trucks is a very good game, but this one is better, in my opinion. If you liked that one, it is surprising you have so little interest in this one....oh well, you can have the last word now.

I think the game looks great, but lack of four-player support or guests online is disappointing. I am definitely going to rent this. But like Chatham, I am holding out hope for an F-Zero announcement (come on, E3!).
How about we all agree to disagree? There's no reason to argue about this, and I'm getting hungry. Pass the steak sauce!
Mario kart for sure. I liked excite truck alot but the lack of a good multiplayer mode or online made mario kart alot better. After hearing all the good reviews of Excite Bots I might get that. I was hesitant at first, cuz I feared it was just a remake of the old one with a couple new features. But I think I'll consider it.
Does the VC count? Because then its probably got to be F-Zero. But yeah, Mario Kart Wii is fantastic. I've played more hours on that than any other Wii game.
