I am looking at buying an APACER SDHC SD CARD for my wii. Does anyone here know whether the Apacer brand is compatible with the wii (pal)?

here's what Nintendo has to say about it. basically it says if you're running System Menu 4.0, your Wii console is compatible with SDHC Cards up to 32 GB. SDHC Cards with a capacity higher than 32 GB won't work.

Brand shouldn't matter as long as the SD/SDHC card is in working condition.

I would also recommend a second sd card for games made before System menu 4.0 for older games. For them you will need a regular sd card.

Make sure to buy a fast card, or else the load times will be slow.

That's not true. My SDHC card works with everything.

If you want to download songs or use GHStudio in Guitar Hero World Tour you require an SD card under 4 gigs. Same goes for playing mp3 in excite truck and using the Photo Channel 1.0.

Then you mean only if you want to use outside sound and/or picture files with any Wii application made before System Menu 4.0, then you need a regular SD card.

I stand by my original statement since a lot of the "Wii application" that use the sd card are games hence "a second sd card for games made before System menu 4.0".
