Topic: All Age Gaming gives It's My Birthday a 7.9!

How could they get away with this!?

Never heard of this site but since it's called "All Age" gaming, it makes sense that they'd give a good score to a childish game. Still, this game is getting way too much attention. There's an advert for it on the back of the new Nintendo Power!

I'm glad I bought Cooking Mama 2 for my niece rather than the infamous IMB, but, I'm still curious. The only thing that stopped me was, whilst it might be great fun on her actual birthday, it's completely useless on every other day of the year.

And trust you Sonic to start another It's my Birthday thread, get in lad.

Oh,so my topic is destined for epic failure?
My topic points out that some reviewer gave a horrible review to a horrible game.
But,whatever happened to your topic called Just checking the tempature of this board? It has mysteriously disappeared.

This game looks about as fun as getting punched in the face.

Which caught my attention mainly because it's apparantly been retitled "Birthday Party Bash." So why does this review still refer to it as "It's My Birthday!"? Is it a region thing?

They were reviewing the PAL version,which is still being called It's My Birthday. Since I live in America,I guess I better start calling it by it's North American name. But,It's My Birthday is a much better title. Because everything time I hear those words,I laughed just at the thought of those words. Basically,the PAL title suits the game better,because it is a stupid title for a stupid game.

So, since I had not even heard of this nor seen any kind of trailer, here is a trailer for the viewing pleasure of all:

It actually doesn't look all that bad, to be honest. I've watched plenty of trailers for cheap minigame collections on the Wii, and this one looks relatively polished by comparison. It might be perfectly fun for a few kids at a birthday party. I've always enjoyed the Mario Party series--great fun with the right people, as simple as it is--and while I doubt this be of the same quality, the graphics actually look fairly smooth, and the minigames could easily be far worse from what we can see here.

I would consider getting it for a kid's birthday party.
