I suspect it's less likely than others simply because Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze's levels are more difficult and more time consuming to make. I mean, look at New Super Mario Bros. All square tiles and blocks you could theoretically build in an easy level editor. Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze on the other hand has 3D environments with individually modelled scenery items.
I find it hilarious how people say 'let's focus on Metroid' when Retro already made three Metroid Prime games and a compilation disc. Why should Metroid get more games and not Donkey Kong Country, when the latter sells better and appeals to more people than the former, and when the original SNES trilogy all came out within a year of one another?

I agree wholeheartedly that metroid shouldn't have had 3 releases in a row, along with DKC (the third one in my opinion is just a ripoff of the first 2 and whatever stupidkong that other kong was was useless). It's been 3 or 4 years since other m came out, so I think they're due for a new game. Personally, I'd rather see F-Zero or Starfox, but Metroid is far more deserving than DKCR. Also, if you're counting metroid prime games, that's not fair unless you're going to compare their sales to DKCTF because the wii had a much bigger audience than the gcn. DKCTF definitely hasn't broken 1 million globally, and they might not have even broken half a million yet.

you do realize dkcr only has two titles right? one on wii and one on wiiu. the 3ds vesion was a port of dkcr 1

Have you played DKCTF because I'm sure you were just saying in another thread that you don't own a Wii U plus there have been two games (one port of the first game to 3DS) not three.

I watched a lets play, and the "story" is the worst in the DKC series maybe with the exception of DKC3. They chose to play it safe, and they needed to take a risk.

I hate cutscenes / tutorials and story (If it is not as good as say Chrono Trigger / Dragon Quest V / Final Fantasy VI). Those three stories I think would be good in any form. (Book / Film / Game doesn't matter).
Wii DKCR is probably the only recent perfect game I can think of so I won't touch a 30fps version. (Regardless of how much I like the original).
