Topic: Wii U Won't Turn On?

I just encountered a problem with my Wii U. It was on because I was using it to charge my iPod and it just suddenly turned off and it won't go off on standby more. The red light is on and it won't turn on or let me eject the disc. I'll probably end up sending it to Nintendo, but I was wondering if anybody had troubleshooting tips? When I press the power button, the eject and light just blinks as if it's trying to turn on. Any tips?

You could try unplugging the power cable from both the console and the electrical outlet for 3 or 4 minutes. Sometimes that seems to resolve some issues like this. Otherwise, I'd say contact Nintendo.

Yeah, it still wouldn't work. I'm now unplugging the outlet from the console and wall and leaving it alone for a few minutes.
Edit: Left it unplugged for five minutes, still didn't work.

Did you try turning it on and off

I'd probably contact Nintendo then. They'll be able to help you more than we can, and if it needs repair, they can get that process started for you.

Did you try holding down the power button until it shuts off? I'd say it was probably your iPod's fault, but who knows...

Yeah, I'm thinking maybe my iPod transferred some data to the Wii U that corrupted it? Not sure, but it's been unplugged for an hour and it still wouldn't turn in. So I'm just going to call up Nintendo and try to get it sent in for repairs. Thanks for the help!
