really? wth then do you have the recent update? or the NSMBU update? cuz it seems it only happened just a few days ago which is odd

I have internet, so OF COURSE I have the most recent update. I have Mario U and Luigi U, too.
The only problem I can think of is your internet setup.
Try updating your router(not the Wii U), and changing your router back to factory settings. Don't mess with DMZ, port forwarding, etc. Keep your router at factory settings.

^ man this guy can be a burro...

ive had things like this happen to me a few times, and btw i work with computers and know that my router settings and everything is fine, downloaded all updates including the NSMBU and this still happens occasionally. although its never been enough to warrant any real worries from me.

does your do it everytime you press home from the browser? if so i would be concerned... mine has done around 2-3 times since christmas. but i expect thats the system stability that they keep updating.

That doesn't mean the router itself in terms of hardware is up to date. I was using the same router for 7 years straight, and one day online gaming just didn't work at all because my gaming consoles demanded more from my router, that it couldn't support anymore.
Either you need to buy something new, or something isn't setup right.
There's always something you can do to fix your tech problems.

I have had this issue a lot of times too. It doesn't always happen though. I don't know if it is a system bug or if it could be times when my internet just drops and it screws the Wii U up though. You are rushing it though, if you let it sit there for about 2 minutes it will go back to the plaza and you wont have to unplug the system.
