Have there ever been this many power-ups in a single Mario game before?

These are all the confirmed power-ups I know of so far:
1) super mushroom
2) fire flower
3) super leaf (tanooki suit)
4) starmen (invincibility)
5) mega mushroom
6) super bell (cat suit)
7) boomerang flower (boomerang bros. suit)
8) double cherries
9) frog suit
10) invincibility leaf
11) goomba suit
12) "Kuribo's skate" (not official title)
13) coin box
14) canon box
15) propeller box

And possibly:
16) koopa shell power-up

The best thing ever would be if the Hammer Bros. suit comes back. But considering how similar it would be the Boomerang, it won't happen.

For anyone who cares, the Japanese nintendo website says the digital version is 2.4gb. Kinda small.

Man this game looks super good now. The graphics look absolutely stunning. Can't wait to play it on my LED HDTV flatscreen.

And yes, this game will have more power ups than any previous 3D Mario.

I doubt it, but i hope this has an early digital release like wind waker hd. Also this is good for Deluxe Wii U owners since we get back 10%

This game will be one of those games that will dramatically help the Wii U.

No kidding. It's probably gonna be what makes me finally buy one.

Yep, I am already saving up for it! The only problem is...
A game I want is coming out in October 29
Another in November 5
Then I have to save up for Mario 3D World
My allowance is only a little bit under $20 a week (+20 every week) and I use some for school at lunch
I better be checking my wallet often...

I'm not giving up all hope just yet, but I think it's sadly almost safe to say that the Frog Suit has been dropped. After all the latest trailer showed practically every power-up in the game, plus several underwater levels have already been seen which is where the Frog Suit would normally be in use.
