Woah, woah, woah! I just walked into the firestorm, and it appears people are out for blood!
Let me share a few secrets with you. Walmart? Doesn't care. They give the guy a coaching and let him off the hook. A slap on the wrist, at best. The GameStop employees have no inclination to not be biased, and it sounds lije they're doing an ok job of biting their tongue on the insults. They tried to redirect you to another system? That's kinda what they're supposed to do. They laughed at Nintendo's sales? Their liss. Nintendo games have longevity like nobody else's games, but whatever.
As for the Little Caesar's employee, speaking as someone who once worked at Walmart and now works in Food Services and Retail, I don't blame him for getting an attitude over harsh criticize that may or may not have even been called for. Sounds like he was already rushing things, and being told he's too slow doesn't help matters. I'd be concerned, if he'd had a more violent reaction, but given the circumstances, a passive aggressive response like that makes sense, acceptable or not.
People often forget that the cashier is a person with feelings and emotions, and most of the time, they aren't getting paid enough to care about the company's problems, let alone yours.
I've actually never had anything like that happen. I got Black Ops for Wii on launch at Wal-Mart. It was midnight and in a relatively small town, so pretty much the only people there were people that were there to buy Black Ops. I was literally the only person who get the game for Wii. But, not a single comment from the other customers or employees.
When I go to gamestop, it's pretty obvious that the employees aren't too familiar with Nintendo stuff, but they always try to pretend like they know everything. I don't remember what was the last game I got a gamestop, but I remember the employee telling me that the new Zelda game for Wii U looked awesome. It's like, I haven't seen it. What's he talking about? I guess he could have been talking about the demo they showed off, but I just did what I always do when I go to gamestop, just say, "Yep," get my game and leave. Also, I'm pretty sure this was before Hyrule Warriors was announced, since it's been a long time since I've been to gamestop.
Thats terrible that an employee treated you like that. Do what I did, go digital and chill.
I have been going digital with a lot of my games recently, I even downloaded Donkey Kong digitally. However, for some reason Ghosts is not on the eshop and my friends have been nagging at me to get it so we can play online together while we wait for X(Which we all assume as multiplayer).
how are none of the call of duty games not on the eshop? i thought all retail games were being released on the eshop.

True, but there's a big difference between an employee giving you their opinion (my story) and the clerk just outright insulting you. What happened to the OP is just unacceptable in my opinion, and some sort of action should've been taken by his management (even if it was just a "you better watch it").
I know there can be many up's and down's with jobs (especially those kind) but I would never feel the need to call someone "silly".

At least he knows what a Wii U is....or what a video game is, unlike most of the people they get to run the back electronics counter at the Wal-Mart I occasionally go to...
@Cyberbotv2
None of the CoD games are on the eShop. I think this is because they don't want to compete with other retail games that have since lowered their price, and Activision won't lower their CoD price until the new one releases. An eShop release could be argued that it would provide more sales, but Activision doesn't want to risk the possibility that they may need to lower the price on Wii U, because it's selling at full price on other consoles.
Hopefully, that isn't too confusing.
EDIT: Also, since a new CoD game comes out every year, there's very little chance people will but last years game over the new one. Or if people buy the old game instead of the new one, which is a possibility, no one will ever buy the new iteration.
I'm confused, because a sale's a sale, and they publisher gets a lot more from a digital sale, so you'd think they'd encporage that. If anything, they probably just figured not enough people who wanted Call of Duty would know that it was even on the eShop...
Employee asking you "Are you sure?". Normal behavior.
I'm guessing this was a reply to my experience at GS... If I had it pre-ordered for Wii U, wouldn't you think it's pretty obvious that I intend to buy the game on Wii U? To be fair, when I went to reserve it, they accidentally reserved it for Xbox 360, even though I said Wii U. I looked at the receipt to make sure it was Wii U, and it said Xbox 360. So not only do people have poor listening and comprehension skills, but also can't read what's on their computer.
I don't think this was particularly a diss on Wii U, but I had to restate multiple times that I had pre-ordered for Wii U.

Well, like I said, people would probably just buy the year old game for $10 cheaper and not buy the new one. Then they have to compete with other 3rd party titles on top of that, and Activision isn't willing to do that, because CoD sells on other consoles.
They can control demand and return better by restricting their software to a disc.

I wasn't, in any way condoning the Walmart employee's comment. I will say that their pay is every level of awful, but Electronics is one of the cushy jobs at Walmart, anyways. That is unacceptable.
Surprisingly, my local Gamestop has many nintendo fans working there. One girl congratulated me on buying my Wii U, and another went on about Rune Factory 4 for a good 10 minutes with me.
However, this guy was not doing his job properly, and should have been fired. Even if you wanted to be nice to him, just think of him insulting a little kid buying a Wii U game. I'd have reported him to be nice to others, not him.
I'm not sure if he's still at there, but once when I was at a Gamestop, the employee had a Zelda tattoo. Then again, I do have one of the top rated Gamestops in the country.
