I am in a really not-happy mood. Yes, part of it is the news that surfaced today, Wii U sales in UK. Augh, I have a lot on my mind, so I think I need some cheering up and relaxation. I must say, my optimism levels have slightly reduced, but I am still optimistic.

Don't be..... Deal with it..........NO 3rd party AT ALL, 4-5 Nintendo games/year and that's it.
Just buy all games and you MIGHT collect few nice games.
We don't have adventure/rpg/sports/ games yet... oh well... maybe one day.

The news today put me in a bad mood too. I even snapped at some people on another gaming site and called gamers morons. I think I need to learn to calm down and realise not everybody loves Nintendo as much as we do haha.
the only things that cheer me up are taking walks under the rain(feels like all the problems in the world fall in your head just to slowly slip down being left behind in a puddle), playing tennis and playing tennis under the heavy rain(the splashing with all those drops flying as the ball spins making that beautiful clear image that feels like the rain is going back up instead of falling, it's really calming)

It would be one thing if I worked for Nintendo, but since I don't, I really don't care if Wii U has bad sales or not because I still like Wii U. And if you do, then don't let the bad sales drag you down either. As long as Nintendo keeps making good games for Wii U, that's all that I want, and that's not changing anytime soon.

The news kind of struck me the wrong way as well. I don't get upset, I just get annoyed. I feel like people don't give the system a chance and they don't get beyond this "there are no games on it" thinking. My friend didn't even want a Wii U until he gave mine a try one day when he was visiting. People don't want a Wii U.... until they try it for themselves.
It's important to just play the games you want to play and own the system(s) you want. Nintendo still makes a good product and they don't release incomplete games, so that's why I still like them.
I'm pretty sad too. I just hate it when people say that Nintendo is going to drop the Wii U with these sales, I really hope they can turn this around. They have awesome games. Hopefully, 2014 will do the trick.
These kinds of news are saddening, but this is Nintendo. If the 3DS pulled through its little slump, so can the Wii U. Besides, if you enjoy the games, that's all that really matters in the end.
I can understand where you're coming from. But so long as you enjoy the Wii U and all it offers, that's really all that matters. Any and all speculations from "expert" analysts that state that Nintendo is doomed is highly over exaggerated. Until Nintendo stops being fun, then can we truly start to worry. And seeing their latest products (3D World & Link Between Worlds), that isn't happening anytime soon!
There's still much more to come next year and so on. Don't you ever let anyone get you down. Play what makes you happy!
Seeing lots of doom stories about this one and it's definitely not a good look. However the click-bait is strong with this one with people going as far as saying Nintendo should get out of the hardware buisness. Something they've been saying for years but something that they only now have some sort of vindication for.
Fact is that over the two console launch weeks the PS4 moved 1.1mill units and the XBOne moved 1.2mill units. In that same period the 3DS moved 900k units and has been doing a good 400k consistently every week since Pokemon launched. Compare that to the Vita which was hovering at about 60k for most of the same period. So there's still space for Nintendo they just need to find a way to leverage it with the Wii U as well as the 3DS.
The fact the doomsayers point to Nintendo while saying "doooooooooomed" but then say that they wish they'd publish on PS4/XBOne says it all. There's still a market for them and they'll keep existing if their harshest critics are still praising their content. Content is king.
