Topic: Official Gamecube controller adapter will not work correctly in very rare occasion

I was lucky and found an official gamecube controller adapter in stock in a small shop on town. It works flawlessly 99.9% of the time but today has been the third time (in like 2 months or so) that weird things have happened. The first time the 4 ports were being used and one of the players was saying he was experiencing some lag. However, the other ones using the adapter (including me) didn't feel any kind of latency and felt it was better than wirelessly. It could have also been him or the controller. The thing is that some time later I used his controller on my adapter with no problems. The second time something happened was that someone was unable to move during a match. He was able to to choose his character (Lucina) but when the match started he wasn't hable to move. He could jump and attack but not move with the stick. The others using the adapter didn't have any issues (this time I was using a pro controller). After the match ended I tried using his controller (I can't remember if it was on the same port) but everything was good. Now, today, me and a friend were playing and the R button didn't work on his gamecube controller. He noticed because he couldn't shield. After the match ended I grabbed his controller and tried changing colors with it. Indeed, the R button was not responding. I first thought it was the controller but after reconnecting it it was working. I tried both the same and another port. Note that every "issue" was resolved by reconnecting the controllers no matter the port (different or the same). I'm just worried that this may cause some problem in the future as these things are not easy to find. Are these just things that can happen? Or is my adapter simply a douche?

I have a Gameseek adapter and I've had funny things like that happen a couple of times. Having the controller connected before launching the game seems to be more of an issue. I'd say it's just as likely a bug in software as the adapter itself and given reconnecting the controller sorts it I wouldn't be too concerned.

You could try two other USB ports or an active USB-HUB. Maybe the problem is solved by it. I don't know.

Both USB ports in the back part are occupied by an HDD and LAN Adapter but I guess I could change them. However it would be hard to tell if there's a difference since the issue is so rare and nothing happens 99% of the time. Guess I'll just live with it. :v
