I don't think i'm worried about Nintendo and the E3 in retrospect wasn't as bad as I thought. Its not excatly what I wanted but I'd be selfish If i didn't say it was still a solid line up.
My only worry is third party support but I'll be getting a WIi U as well so its not that big of a deal.
WAT!

You are so right. Reading forums and comments was my mistake too. Wonderful post.
When I bought the Wii, I played Resident Evil 4, MadWorld, Star Wars The Force Unleashed, and a bunch of other games, and never once felt like it wasn't the best console in the world. It was so much fun. I didn't get the same feeling when I played some PS3 games later. I did get the feeling back when I fired up Arkham City:AE. Something about new interactions with the controller just made it more real and fun. I wonder if Nintendo's next console will wow me once again.
I, too, agree with what @rallydefault said. I'm 19 but I still go to my friend's house and play games with him and his bro, having a laugh as if we were still 14. Whether it be Mario Party 2, Double Dash, Mario Kart Wii, or Nintendo Land; we laugh our behinds off when something hilarious happens and that all that matters!
Overall though, I'm not concerned. Some people just can't accept they're not getting what they want.
[quote=rallydefault]Just play your Wii U and have fun, man.
I really hate the internet in certain ways. I wish I never got into the whole forums/gaming sites thing. "Back in the day," my friends and I would just play N64 and Gamecube, happy as could be, totally oblivious to the fact that both consoles actually didn't perform that well. We didn't care about E3 "winners" and debates over "next gen" and specs. Heck, my one friend (we're in a our late twenties now, by the way) who doesn't really pay attention to game websites and forums still talks about the Gamecube with such reverence like it was the best thing ever. But you hop online and, aside from places like this, see constant comments like "Nintendo has another Gamecube on their hands." See... my friend doesn't care about this stuff because he doesn't even know it exists. And he's so much happier for it."
Thank you for this post. I've been sitting worrying about Nintendo's future for the past few months because I spend way too much time on online forums with people spouting negativity about the Wii U. I've been using mine primarily for some Wii games that I reacquired but I've got Sonic Racing and NSMBU that I occasionally trot out. I spent the morning playing Super Mario Galaxy and, aside from some choice curses in places where I died multiple times, I had a blast. Perhaps I should spend more time playing games than scouring internet forums.
