I don't know about you guys but lately I'd been feeling a bit disappointed with the WiiU rainbow curse and Mario party while I enjoyed a lot and thought were awesome didn't really set the world on fire for most people all this talk of delays and Dena and really a lot of negative stuff. However, this recent Direct, which admittedly wasn't perfect, really cheered me up Nintendo does a lot of things differently and sometimes it can be frustrating as hell but you just have to look at the buzz created by the poll for future DLC fighters or excitement for MK updates and some new VC to see Nintendo even when doing very little can still excite fans. I wish there were some more retail releases yeah but I love being a part of the Nintendo community I don't think many fans of Sony can go back and play a twenty year old game and get excited like we do for DK64 or look forward to DLC the way we do. I don't really know what I'm trying to say I just feel very happy with Nintendo and with my WiiU and New 3DS and I have confidence in them to keep putting out great games and fun experiences and I hope E3 can be just as exciting. I hope you all enjoy your Nintendo games

It's the yearly Nintendo cycle. Doom and gloom from January until April, and E3 hype train positivity from April until January.

Yay! Good feels! After all, if you're patient, we've got a lot of great stuff to look forward to.

Got married.

indies yo. Even beyond Nintendo consoles, AFAIK, if you want to consistently game with...new games, you can't ignore the indies. Download only games are like 90% of games released nowadays it seems, even ignoring iOS. Expand your horizons or whatever...

That being said, I do already, so Nintendo's stuff, even with the delays, is more than enough for me for retail stuff. Helps that Hyrule Warriors is my stress reliever and thus I want to 100% it no matter how much content. They need to work out their 3rd party issues, but when Nintendo releases good, quality, creative content, it's still fantastic.

Dude nobody thought Kirby or Mario Party 10 would set the world on fire. There are already so many great games released in the past 6 months we can't just expect Gold every month.

everyone needs to relax and enjoy the games that are released today and stop worrying what Nintendo will do in a year or two from now.

Don't get me wrong I like indie gaming also and the WiiU with both the touch screen and buttons is really the ideal place to play them over a smart phone but they are just a part of the bigger picture. Nintendo seems to be doing a good job of combining DLC, VC, indie support, there own titles and a few great third parties games to create a great machine with a great community. I'd love to see a few more retail games for sure but I think overall the WiiU is giving a lot of core Nintendo fans everything they need.

To me Mario Party was gold and Kirby I really enjoyed but I just wish that there had been a bit more excitement for them and that they could have at least boosted sales a little more. I know franchises like these are aimed at people who are already fans of Nintendo but maybe if a few more chances were taken these games could have had a bigger impact on others and really wowed everyone.
