Too much Luigi is not good. He's just another Mario in green suit. We got a lot of Mario already as well as Luigi this year being "The Year of Luigi". I don't wanna see Nintendo being all about the same. I want something new on the table.

I guess you don't know what Nintendo's like then. Let me explain simply: Make the same thing, have terrible advertising, get people to buy it.

I think this Year of Luigi is Nintendo trying to show how different a game can be when a few things are changed. I don't think people are excited about New Super Luigi because it is more of the same, they are excited to see how different the game is with a character that acts slightly different than Mario.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

This would mean Nintendo being a kiddie console. I don't think this sits well particularly with the hardcore gamers. We've seen some hardcore 3rd party titles in development (Resident Evil, Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell, etc.) & this is actually a good sign. For Nintendo to go back on "it's all about the same" on the Wii U is not going to get better for Nintendo. The Wii U is a lot better than just being your ordinary kiddie game console on HD much like the older Nintendo game consoles on SD.

Speak for yourself. Believe it or not, Luigi does have a fanbase. I actually don't care for Mario but I like Luigi. He's a more developed character than Mario who has virtually no personality. When I play games with Luigi, I can't help but smile. Mario... Eh, I get bored fast. Their are people excited for the Luigi games who see them as different than Mario, from subtle mechanic tweaks (NSLU) to completely different franchises (Luigi's Mansion). I agree that I'd like more new IPs from Nintendo but I also want them to do more with their characters that aren't Mario, who has became dull over the years. Luigi, Wario, Donkey Kong, Yoshi... Heck, I'd play more obscure ones even. Let me play as Bowser! Give Toad his own game! Build a story around a Goomba or a Lakitu!
Also, I'm glad we get this as DLC instead of a whole new title. Less resources.
Feel free to add me on the Nintendo Network: ShadJV

I don't think you understand what sarcasm is, or how to properly use it. The quote of yours he was replying to wouldn't be considered 'sarcastic' by anyone with an understanding of literary devices. Actually, your response (which I quoted) would be considered 'sarcasm'.
Stay in school, kiddo.

I agree with you that there's a huge fanbase for Luigi but I have a problem with the OP's thread on the "New Super Luigi U". I'm open for something Luigi but it should not be "all about the same". I like what Nintendo is doing on Mario 3D as it will bring something new to the Mario franchise but there's a problem bringing something that is all about the same as the OP emplied on his thread. It's just too "all about the same" bringing something similar to the Mario game with the only thing that is different is the main character. It's the same old ballgame. It would be like playing a role of two almost identical characters wearing the same kind of clothing. It would still be a Mario game, not a Luigi game. I want something new.
Thanks, DestinyMan! Please feel free to discuss this topic in the original thread, guys. :3
