Topic: movies on memory stick?

Is it possible to put movies (any format) on a memory stick and just plug it into the usb port to play it?

Did you not even realize this is the Wii U forums, and not a PC/Mac forum?

To the OP, no you are not able to do it like that because the Wii U does not have a video player outside of the only available method, which is playback of MP4s through the web browser. The web browser cannot access the USB ports, so it won't work that way either.

It's actually even more impossible than @Discostew suggests. It's not just that is there no way to access use the browser, the only thing that allows such playback, to access USB storage. The Wii U also formats any mass storage you attach to it before use AND it doesn't support thumbdrives anyway. In short there's all kinds of no to this.

YES...... This is a question about using the Wii u to play movies.... by putting movies on a memory stick and playing on the wii u ... it sure as heck doesnt have to do with 3ds LOL. WII U WII U WII U ... get it?

This is the wiiu forums. If I was the forums for Honda caras I wouldnt ask about the ps3.... Yes this is about the WII U!
