Just wondering what people's experiences with the frame rate with this game are?
For me, It's constantly low, stutters regularly and becomes painful to look at in some places. Even the main menu stutters when the game is started, and cutscenes are choppy as hell. The only other Lego game I've played was Marvel Super Heroes, which was prone to the occasional drop but never anything this bad. So I don't understand how this game could be so poor.
I've searched around the internet and been surprised by how few people are mentioning this for the Wii U version, even finding some comments that say it "looks and plays great".
Is it possible that one copy could be dodgy compared to another?
I have the digital version and it has lots of framerate issues.
The game has game bugs as well (but after some googling, those aren't specific to the Wii U version).
If you still buy Lego games on Wii U in 2015 you deserve what you get, I'm sorry to say.
Lego City Undercover and Lego Marvel both ran like crap (though Lego City was still enjoyable), so I can only imagine all the other ones chug along at 20fps or less in many sections as well. These Lego games are 'fast food' titles that are cranked out quickly and of very low quality, so it's best not to expect much from them.
I'm literally playing Lego Hobbit on WiiU now and it's probably the best Lego game I've ever played, so there's at least one that's working properly. But other than that, the Lego series is known to be glitchy and this one is no exception. Just stay away from Lego Pirates of Caribbean lol....
Im reading that Jurassic World Lego is glitchy cross platform a bit.
I have LJW on the PS4 and while it doesn't seem to suffer from frame-rate issues, it is buggy as hell. Several times I've had to quit stages because characters got stuck or important items (like switches etc.) couldn't be accessed/collected.
It's still a great game though (as are most of the other Lego games) and I completed it 100%
