Topic: How exactly do I get my free game?

It takes you through a series of screens, and usually there is a red button with white text that says like "reedem my code" or something? Follow the prompts until it gives you a 16-digit code, then go to the e-shop on your Wii U pad and at the top it will say "enter download code"

I did it again and it finally gave me the code to the game! I guess the servers are still messed up. Thanks guys! Can't wait to play Wind Waker

Well, turns out Nintendo were wrong when they told me I'd done everything I needed to and that I didn't need to do anything with the code. Thanks to another thread on here I found i did indeed need to register the code as if it was a new product.

I did this and within five minutes was downloading windwaker at last. Just wish the process had been clearer.

Agreed. It was clear enough in the receipt after I registered my MK8 download code, but I don't see why they couldn't have spelled it out on the website detailing the promotion or emails advertising same. Not a huge deal, but I prefer more clarity. I note also that Club Nintendo surveys are working better now with the addition of a menu option after you finish one to check for another. Before it used to be a crap shoot if it would actually let you do two back-to-back.

I suspect something's got lost in translation and the staff are doing what I did and following the words. The words clearly say you need to register the game. This is not so. The game is registered automatically when you download. That doesn't get you a free game. You need to register the code as if it was a game.

I had tried that but nintendo's baffling insistence of using 1, I, 0, and O in there codes doesn't half make that difficult. I had used the wrong code.

I never got an email myself, but I had a Wind Waker queued up to download whilst MK8 was.

I can't complain about the result, that's for sure: both games were ready to play within a couple of hours - can't beat fibre broadband!

Who can help me get the code? It says I still have to redeem the code but I never got one. can anyone help?

I already downloaded WWHD but i didn't get any points as part of the Deluxe Digital Promotion

It takes about 24 hours for the points to appear
