Topic: Does anybody else do this regarding time played for each game?

Every game or application played that is recorded on the Daily Log has to have a multiple of exactly 10 minutes for each day played. No more or less. 5 minutes one day and 5 minutes the next day doesn't count.

Also every month has to have a minimum of 100 hours of game time played on the Daily Log. Then multiples of 10 hours over 100 hours. So if I go just one minute over 100 hours, I have to keep playing until I reach 110 hours. If I go past a day or month without achieving my set record, then I have to change the date back to a particular day and keep playing.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Dude. OCD is not a good thing to have. It can rule your life. Seek help.

I have OCD regarding certain things, but dang, yours is a much more extreme example.

Whenever I use the Wii U Browser, I always make sure Nintendo Life occupies the top spot of my Favorite Bookmarks, with GameXplain's YouTube channel being #2. I always make sure I visit the GameXplain and Nintendo Life pages the same number of times, but I do Nintendo Life last so it will appear on top. Every time I want to check out GameXplain, I have to also visit Nintendo Life and vice-versa.

This doesn't pertain to games, but I also eat many foods in weirdly specific intervals. If I'm eating, say, a chicken nugget, I take four bites. On the first bite, I bite to the right and with no barbecue sause on the nugget. On the second bite, I dip it in barbecue sauce and bite to the left. I repeat this pattern for the third and fourth bites. I do the same sort of thing with french fries, cheese sticks, and other foods, though not always in the same intervals.

I also tend to make shapes by connecting numbered dots in my head... This one's a bit hard to explain, but it's an OCD, nonetheless. I could go on forever. I have to have my amiibo arranged in a specific way, I constantly bite my fingernails because I can't stand for them to grow out, and I have a certain pattern for brushing my teeth.

Yeah I can get caught up playing games with that 'one more go' thought ending up with several, but I'd never take it that far. When you're at a point where you're playing to satisfy an arbitrary number of time, I'd say that's a concern.

I can't honestly remember the last time I checked out the Activity Log. The most important part of playing a game for me is actually enjoying it, rather than how long I've played it.

@GrizzlyArctos: surely you can appreciate, though, that with some games, the time you put in (grinding) is important for what you get out.

... woof. OP, I agree with some others here. That sounds like a concerning level of OCD.

I don't check the activity log. I'm sure I've put in tons of hours into Smash Bros and Splatoon. Those are the two games I play the most.

I buy a lot of games though that I play for a few days or weeks and then give up on because I lost interest. That would be Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Yoshi's Wooly World and Wind Waker HD. I did almost do a 100% completion in Captain Toad Treasure Tracker but couldn't bother myself to finish it because the last few levels were just grueling. I might do it some day though.

I've also kind of retired in Super Mario Maker as far as making levels but I still play other people's levels here and there. It's just very time consuming to make a great level and I'm stubborn but I could see myself getting back into it.

This reminds me of the what are your most played 3DS games thread and I started seeing people posting they've played the activity log for 50 hours.

It's only OCD if you're suffering. Otherwise, it is OCPD.
