I love military FPS to an extent, I love how with BLOPS 2 it is slightly futuristic.

Like I said before, far to nit-picky. If this really means that much to you go ahead and argue with me. Either way we both have different opinions so the argument will never end. Plus your "facts" are up for debate.... which makes them not actual facts. Genres are broader then you are giving them credit for. Also are not your simulation games just abstractions or war in real life? Do you think soldiers actually act like that? Are moves, and decisions enacted by some God Like deity? No! So in this case COD would be a far better example of a War Game then your wargames are (BTW do they really make it one word like that? I honestly don't know).

The Battlefield series in spite of what was trialled in Battlefield 2 is not a wargame, it's a multi-player FPS themed in a theater of war - other wise it's Quake, Doom, Halo, Rise of the Triads... you get the drift .
There is no overarching strategy - you're lucky on an open server to find anything even remotely like tactics unless you'r ep laying as a clan so no, it's not a wargame and yes, I played a LOT of Battlefield and I've played wargames.

Arrogance? I understand that the Internet has a resistance to accuracy and in general being correct, but that hardly makes me arrogant because I care about calling apples apples and spades spades.
When someone can explain to me how Battlefield and Warhammer are the same kind if game, I will concede that both are Wargames. Until then, the game that is actually a Wargame, Warhammer, gets to remain a Wargame, and Battlefield gets to be a (very vanilla, at that) FPS

You're very vanilla. I prefer my shooters without the over exaggerated Michael Bay explosions that come out of no where and perks/killstreaks. Also the CoD community is a bunch of arrogant casuals. I was just at a friends house and they were playing CoD, actually it's all any of them play, and they suck majorly at it but they think they are gamers because they play one game. XD That's like me calling myself a photographer because I took a picture with my cell pone. I'll go to the game where the gamers are, and that has a new invention called vehicles... you know vehicles? Ever heard of them? Also, CoD's super linear on rail missions are garbage. They aren't technically on rails but it almost feels as if they are sometimes.
