So cut the long story short. I bought a second hand DS Lite and it came with Pokemon Pearl. The reason I bought it was because I remembered loving the old Pokemon games on the Gameboy as a kid. So I thought why not since the DS and the game cost me £24 (about $35). I am really enjoying it so am currently looking at buying more Pokemon games for the Ds (there seems to be loads).
My question is what are the chances of Nintendo brining a Pokemon game to the U? From my understanding the new Pokemon games on the DS sell systems? If this is the case then why don't Nintendo make a few for the U? If Nintendo came out tomorrow and said where bringing Pokemon Stadium 3 to the Wii U I would go out and buy a Wii U tomorrow. Is there any Pokemon games on Nintendo Store? I know of Pokemon Rumble but I mean the old Gameboy ones?
Pokémon games sell handheld systems, yes, but I'm not so sure it'd be able to sell a home console. I certainly wouldn't be getting it, simply for the fact that I cannot afford the Wii U. I can afford the 3DS, yes, but the Wii U is way out of our price range.
Shame but never say never. I do hope Nintendo takes a risk and releases one of the U. Or release some sort of adapter for the Wii U which allows DS and 3DS games to be played on a TV. Will most likely hurt 3DS sales but they did it with the Gamecube and the NES.
I think the need for a Battle Arena game has diminished with the main RPGS being in 3D these days. It doesn't help that the studio who made the Gamecube and Wii games are 3DS only these days working on eshop stuff.
WAT!

If we ever see any kind of Pokemon release aside from Pokemon Rumble or whatever... it'll probably be something like Stadium or Battle Revolution.
I'd be open to seeing something like the two games they released on Gamecube (but more fleshed out).
I'd rather they keep the main games on the handheld systems.
Why did people think this was a fighting game? Fighting games aren't presented at an angle. Not even 3D fighters.
Super Street Fight IV 3D would like to have a word with you:
But Street Fighter only does that during certain moves. These guys are standing still. I think Jazzer's right and it would be a Stadium game. The fact that they're fighting types makes them have a stance, but otherwise it looks more like Stadium where they're in a set arena and the camera's just panning between turns.
