Topic: What one Fire Emblem game would you most like localized?

Thing is, I was reading about Genealogy of the Holy War, and I thought the story just sounded so much more interesting than that of, say, Awakening (which felt kind of like standard RPG stuff to me). I'd love to try it as well as Thracia 776 and Gaiden, but mostly Genealogy of the Holy War.

Considering that they already have NES, SNES, and GBA VC, they could do it too. Plus there are plenty of translations patches. Guess I should at least be thankful that we have Shadow Dragon.

Definitely Thracia 776. Holy War in a close second.
Those two deserve a remake. Preferably without the pair-up mechanics of Awakening.

I would like to see FE12 localized and playable on a 3DS in DS mode. TNR music in that game and the fact they had some fun with the my unit character is nice.

@JaxonH I want that...

Same here, if only to have all the GBA games.

I'd mostly like to play Holy War though. The story sounds so good and when I heard this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1DzX9LAUi4 I thought man that must be one heck of a game.

Oh and this one is awesome too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3F3P0DZqt80

I have both Fire Emblem 1 and 2 on NES (the original Shadow Dragon, and Gaiden) in English, all 3 of the SNES entries (the original Mystery of the Emblem, Genealogy of the Holy War, and Thracia 776) in English, I have Binding Blade on GBA in English, and as seen above, Heroes of Light and Shadow- New Mystery of the Emblem on DS in English.

All in all I actually own all 13 Fire Emblem games to date with officially localized or fan translated English.

My personal faves still have to be the Radiant games on GC and Wii (more I play of them the more I love them), and the GBA trilogy. Binding Blade is particularly one to get because it has all the same characters as FE7 from the Wii U virtual console. I dug into the very first, original games on NES and tbh they're a little dated, but the gameplay holds up well for being so old. The SNES trilogy is much better though and has brutal strategy, though I'm not sure I like the SNES trilogy near as much as the GBA trilogy.

As for Shadow Dragon remake on DS, not much story but the gameplay is brilliant. Heroes of Light and Shadow though, that's a must have. Get you a copy in English cause that game was the "Awakening before Awakening".

Lucky...How did you get those? With a ROM? What I'm wondering is how it is you can play them on their original consoles and use a translation patch (like you have with FE 12). How do you apply it to the game? Sorry for my ignorance.

Also, I really with I could get the Tellius games, but they're so dang expensive everywhere. I at least hope for a Wii U eshop release of Radiant Dawn.

Seriously though, you'd think Nintendo was blind. With the big increase in FE's popularity, they would do extremely well to put the NES ones on both 3DS and Wii U and all the SNES and GBA ones on Wii U. Plus maybe a re-release of the Tellius games.

There are fan translation patches for every game in the series. Most are 100% complete but some (like Genealogy of Holy War I think?) are only at 93% completion, so credits and a few odd things aren't translated. Nothing noteworthy or vital though.

Once you own the games, you can dump them and patch as needed, then play on an emulator or right off the original hardware. Some people actually patch the games in the cartridge though. I think you can buy several of these on SNES or GBA carts pre translated and region free. Me, I prefer to dump and patch. It's finding a good patch that's the hard part though. Can spend a TON of time scouring the corners of the internet for usable, complete patches. Took me months to track down the NES patches. Thought they didn't even exist for a while there.

I hear ya with the Tellius games, but I still say they're worth it. Buy now before price shoots up even further. Way I see it, new games cost $60 nowadays. Well you can get Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn for $60 on eBay. Just pretend it was brand-new. As for Path of radiance, you can score it for $80 in moderate condition-$100 for complete book/manual/case condition. I'd just bite the bullet and set aside $140 for the two games, camp out on eBay for a week and score for that price range for the two- $60 and $80, $50 and $90, whatever works. Just pretend they're 2 new $60 games (which after tax would be like $130 anyways)

@JaxonH Weeeelll, the only problem is I'd have no idea how to do any of that. I really just wish they'd all get official releases. I think Japan even has Fire Emblem Gaiden on the 3DS VC, and they also have the SNES ones on their Wii VC, those lucky sons 'a guns.

About the Tellius games though, I could save up for them, but I'm actually saving for a New 3DS XL right now because I REALLY want Xenoblade. Would have gotten it on Wii if it weren't also so expensive. I still hope for a Wii U eshop release of RD though and then I could score it for just ten bucks, but there's not guarantee it'll ever even make it to the eshop.

Actually, that's a logical contradiction because getting Xenoblade on Wii would be cheaper than getting a New 3DS to play it on, but I'd love to have the portability.

@TingLz Right you are. I can't wait for it. I just hope Nintendo doesn't pull the rug out from under us with a Japan only announcement, but after Awakening's success I doubt that'll happen.

@JaxonH Hey do you have Famicom Wars and Super Famicom Wars too? Just curious. I seriously love the first GBA one and the DS ones (especially Days of Ruin). I don't have Black Hole Rising though.

I have that translation pack but I would be willing to buy it from Nintendo if they offered it in English even if it is only digital.

I own most of them on virtual console, but I would like to play Thracia776 in English or see a remake for Gaiden.

Definitely Genealogy of the Holy War. The way it tried mixing things up on how the game progressed with a few massive stages rather than a ton of moderate sized ones was refreshing. I'd love to have an official English release, or even a remake... But given some of the uh... questionable content in the game, I'd be surprised if that ever happened without the localization making some major changes to the story.
