Topic: Sacred Stones: Marisa promotion?

I've been researching this the past few days, but nobody ever seems to agree on anything. In FE Sacred Stones, which promotion is better for Marisa? The extra crit that swordmaster grants is great, but I've seen a lot of people say that she performs better as an assassin while others say she makes an awful assassin. Can somebody clarify which promotion is better for her and why?

Frankly, I'd kind of like to make Joshua an assassin simply because he ends up looking like Jaffar (poor reason I know) and Marisa a swordmaster because the class just sort of suites her character. I may make them both swordmasters though.

It really depends what you want from them as a unit. Normally I go Swordmaster for both Joshua and Marisa, but that's just personal preference. I think Swordmaster is a better overall class in than Assassin in general. The strength and critical hit bonuses are a lot more useful than the Assassin's Silencer skill. If you really want to use an Assassin though, I'd pick Marisa because she has higher luck.

Thanks for your response! Yeah, that seems to be the general consensus. I want to do swordmaster, but I dunno the assassin class is just so cool...which isn't a good reason to pick it, but still. Like I said, I'd love assassin Joshua and swordmaster Marisa, but I'm pretty sure most people say Joshua is better as a swordmaster. I'll probably make them both swordmasters because I already have assassin Colm (thought about picking rogue, but I figure I'll just use Rennac for lockpicking when I get him, plus I had Colm steal another thief's lockpicks) and anyway swordmaster Marisa is much sexier than assassin Marisa
