If you find FFVI for SNES or GBA, definitely get that. Its pure awesomeness.

I think I know someone who has it on GBA, I just never got around to borrow it.

Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.

Hmm, I thought I remembered it being 900. Oh well.
Even better, 8 American dollars well spent!

lol I think it was 800, I'm guessing Europe didn't get a localized version back in the day.

Buy Chrono Trigger for the DS instead, all mario rpg's are more or less the same. They are funny and High Quality. But Chrono Trigger has got a great story and an interesting atmosphere, feels more like a retro RPG.

The two Baldur's Gate games on the PS2. Also the two Champions of Norrath games on the PS2 as well. Bard's Tale has also been rated pretty highly, though I cannot verify that (I own it, have not played it yet).

Not to mention that if you get a PS2, you have access to three Kingdom Hearts RPGs, the Wild Arms series, Arc the Lad, Dark Cloud ...

Yay! I'm not the only one that likes Arcana.

Another recommendation would be Secret of Mana and Ys Book I & II.

To each their own

I'll have to check out Arcana, it looks interesting.

I was thinking about getting the ROM for Mother 3 to tie me over until I can get some others, are the previous games in the series important to the story?
