There are far too many for me to name. I think that the most popular series I know little about would have to be the Zelda series- I've only played WW and PH.
Just let it happen.

In Star Fox you fly a futuristic spaceship called an Arwing and attempt to save the galaxy by defeating bosses in each area (planet, asteroids, etc). You are accompanied by your advisor, Peppy Hare, the brutish Falco Lombardi, and the clumsy Slippy Toad. The game's graphics were advanced for its time. Star Fox 64 simply made it more complex for the N64.
Star Fox Adventures completely strayed from the series and turned into a Zelda clone. It was originally an N64 game featuring completely different characters and the ability to switch between the main character and Crystal. It was originally known as Dinosaur Planet.
Star Fox Assault returned to tradition, but expanded upon the game by providing missions on foot and using a Landmaster.
Star Fox Command takes the graphics of the SNES version and applies it to the DS while also adding a mission planning mode.

Every FPS on the consoles that are considered to be the "Absolutely Amazing!" consoles. In fact, the only FPSs I know well are Star Wars Battlefront 2, Call of Duty 1, Goldeneye: Source, and Portal (even though that's technically not an "FPS", but it's close enough).
Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar. Please contact me before using my custom avatar!

Any game that I don't know is popular. Generally I tend to read up on the big-time stuff, especially if it interests me. I mean hell, if you don't know something, look it up. That's what the internet is for, people.

Pretty much this except I played a lot of Goldeneye back in the day. To start from here. Metroid Prime series. I played through some of 1 and 3 and just could never get into them. SSB series Any sonic game after the 2-D ones Capcom vs (insert whatever here)
Also guys you should put Mother instead of Earthbound as that is what the series is technically known as in Japan. Earthbound is actually Mother 2 in a series of 3 games.
I know very little about Final Fantasy, most RPG's, I've never played an MMORPG. Most first and third person shooter series, except for Metal Gear and Goldeneye. I never really got into the Contra or Mega Man series like I did with Castlevania and Metroid. And I never really got into the Ninja Gaiden series like I did with Shinobi. Earthbound/Mother games are a mystery to me too.
These are all series that I know little to nothing of, but I'm planning to give them all a try (on Nintendo consoles):

World of Warcraft. I've played it at a friends house, I have no clue what the goal is in the game, or what the appeal is.
The point of WoW, is just to complete quests, and to show off your high level.
Sounds boring. I just ran around attacking these weird ogre things. I don't understand how everyone gets addicted, I know like three people who are obsessed with it.
The Game.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.
