Topic: Nintendo Epic Mario?

I don't know if a thread has been similar to this, but if not, here's an idea of mine:

I'm looking at how Epic Mickey on the Wii is putting life in forgotten characters, spawning the whole Disney timeline, from the Mad Doctor to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. I figured, why can't they do that with the Nintendo universe? I mean, Nintendo has SO Many forgotten stars: Sherriff, R.O.B., the Balloon Fighter, Stanley, Exitebike, Kiddy Kong, and so much more I can't possibly fit them all in here. They could all congregate in what is Nintendo's version of the Wasteland: the Minus World. It ends up that Mario did the 1-2 glitch again, and now he's stuck in the newer and more desolate version of the Minus World. It could kinda play like Super Mario Sunshine on land: Mario is equipped with his FLUDD again (another forgotten object), except now it has a more technological feel to it: You can either spray water on objects to "Restore their data", or shoot it with a gray water that looks pixelated to "Erase their data" from the world. On your adventure you could enter "Warp Pipes" to revisit classic Mario levels from his entire history of gaming, from the Donkey Kong 25m to New Super Mario Bros.' Level 1-3. This game would not only be a fun mix of platforming and adventuring, but could also reinvigorate interest in some of Nintendo's oldest icons.

Post your impressions on what you think of this idea, or to modify some of the gameplay mechanics I put out there.

Sounds like a fine idea! Add in Bubbles (Clu-Clu Land), Muddy the Mole (from Mole Mania), and Foreman Spike (from Wrecking Crew), and we're all set!

However, isn't Captain Rainbow already a game with forgotten Nintendo characters?

I'm back (for the moment)!

I think the idea sounds great, except that the F.L.U.D.D. restoring and erasing thing is a bit too much like Epic Mickey. And I don't think Nintendo would ever make a game that uses an earlier game's glitch as part of the storyline.

That could be a good idea, but it also would be kind of a rip off of Epic Mickey.

Plus Disney has a much larger history than Nintendo (video game wise) does. Although, if they really wanted to get into Nintendo history, they could throw in their old taxi company or love hotel. Now THOSE are what I'd call forgotten.

If it was closer to the concept art of Epic Mickey than Epic Mickey is, then go for it.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.
