That game always fascinated me. The original Dragon Warrior and Phantasy Star are like the original JRPGs...and Phantasy Star is actually 100X deeper and more visually appealing then Dragon Warrior, although later entries would change that.
In the end, I used FAQs, guides, and save states to finally go through and beat it...so It doesn't really count as actually beating the game. I doubt I ever actually could have beaten that on my own.
I'm getting pretty close to finally giving up and using a guide to beat "Shin Megami Tensei IV".
I think I've had it with "Shiren the Wanderer" on Wii as well...that game is simply the king of cheap losses.
I have 149 out of 150 of the stars in Super Mario 64. I have every star in every course, I've collected 100 coins in every course, and most of the secret stars. I've spent countless hours looking for that extra star, but I just can't find it!

Xenoblade Chronicles for me. It's just way too freaking complicated for me to remember everything. It also requires commitment as well for if you stop playing for even a week, you're bound to forget something important. If it wasn' for Chuggaaconroys LP of this game, I would never see the end.
Aww man, really? You know they always give you a little pointer and even tell you how far to your next destination in Xenoblade, and you can also "skip travel" to any landmark you're revealed.
I'll admit Xenoblade Chronicles is a huge game and there's a lot of content, but you can pretty much just move from objective to objective and grind a little when you reach a new area and you should be able to beat it pretty easily.
