Sorry if someone's pointed this out before. But I just now came across this Earthbound Zero cartridge. I've never played it, and didn't know this creation from an English language prototype existed, has anyone gotten this? Is it legit? Anyone have experiences with the site gamereproductions?
They've said that the cartridges existed somewhere, but shipping them out was cancelled at the last minute with the fear that the game woudln't be profitable.
Incidently, the cartridge SHOULDN'T read "Earthbound Zero" and should just say "Earthbound," as it was originally called. If it says Zero, it's a fake. If it's just Earthbound, don't be terribly surprised.
The only legit EarthBound NES carts are development copies used by NoA (and intended only for use within NoA, but I guess the developers got to keep personal copies). No retail copies were ever made. So if it has a real label at all, it's a fake.
It's not empty, they hack up some other game and put the EB ROMs on it. (and the games he's destroying to make those are suspected to be games like SMB2 and Kirby's Adventure )
yeah i got it from that same site and beat it as well. if you get if from that site it will read "Earthbound" not "Earthbound Zero" and this repro will not crash anywhere during the game like some versions do. but be aware that this game is a grind festival lol. id get it if i were you...you just have to wait a month for it to arrive. http://www.gamereproductions.com/products.php?product=Earthbo... i also suggest you use the guide on www.starmen.net or you wont beat it.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
