I am completely, hopelessly addicted to Zen Pinball. The 3DS games were great the Vita/ PS3 Zen Pinball is even more awesome (slightly better physics, 26 tables).

This thread is to discuss your favourite Zen Pinball tables, etc etc.

My favourite is Moon Knight (which is how I discovered the character, actually). Also a big fan of Tesla, Excalibur, Captain America, and Epic Quest.

Sound out Pinball folks!

I have been an avid amateur Pinball fan since the pokemon GBC games and I admire Zen studio's work. The physics of this game is solid and the 3D effect gives the 3DS version an edge over the superior Console titles (Seriously, why couldn't they merge the titles?) Might have to double dip on my PS3 if they dont hurry up with the 3DS DLC.

My fave tables based on the eight I played are:
Blade, El Dorado, Captain America and Excalibur.

I enjoy playing Marvel Pinball from time to time, but the only Pinball game I had the most fun with was Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon on the DSiware.
Its still one of my most fav pinball game.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

I would like to see Zen Studios update the physics of the 3DS games. While I rather like the 3D effect (low resolution notwithstanding) I have a lot of trouble playing the 3DS games after Zen Pinball 2 on my Vita because the physics on the 3DS game are, for want of a better word, watered down.

I assume that's because the 3DS games are based on the original Zen Pinball physics rather than a lack of processing power, but it does hurt the overall experience for me.

On the plus side, Zen Pinball 2 currently lacks the Fantastic 4 table, which is nice, and gives me an excuse to play the 3DS game still.

How bad is the 3DS version's physics compared to the console/Vita? I really don't see any major issues, though I just find it an improvement over the last Pinball game I played which was Metroid Prime Pinball.

There's nothing wrong with the 3DS' physics, it's just that Zen Pinball 2's physics are a little weightier. The ball feels more like a real pinball would, if that makes sense. On the 3DS, the ball moves around the table a bit slower and is slightly floatier - it's like the metal ball has some helium in the middle, lol.

I love both Zen & Marvel Pinball on 3DS!

Love:

  • Excalibur
  • Earth Defense!
  • El Dorado
  • Captain America
  • Blade
  • Fantastic 4

Dislike:

  • Shaman (I seriously hate this one with a passion, lol)
  • Iron Man (which is a shame, since he's my favorite character from the films)

I hope Arc System Works releases Three Kingdoms Pinball on our eShop. I've seen screenshots of it on NOJ's website, and it looks kinda fun.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Oh man, Shaman is a terrible, terrible table. Not the worst (there's a couple of tables on Zen Pinball 2 that will make make grown men cry), but it's unbalanced, uninteresting and a waste of time. I spent hours of my life trying to work that table out with no luck.

I find Iron Man dull as well. Too many ramps. I hate Pinball tables that are ramp-heavy.

Huge Excalibur fan here. Have a personal record of like 200,000,000 myself and i'm proud of that

Other then that, I guess I liked the Fantastic 4 table. Though my record in that one isn't near as great.

Fan of: Shin Megami Tensei/ (Classic) Mega Man/ Pokemon/ Batman Arkham/ Metal Gear Solid/Peanuts/ DBZ/ Regular Show/ Power Rangers/The Walking Dead/ Invincible/ Detective Comics/ Secret Six/ Immortal Iron Fist/ Lobo/ Green Lantern

Now that Zen Pinball2 has been on Wii U everywhere for a while. It is time to bring this forum back.

So I only have Zen Pinball 3D.
I like:
Excalibur; I just love the ability to get easy multiballs
Shaman; It I find is fun to be able to send the ball up one ramp then the other and the challenge to live keeps it enjoyable

I'm neutral on Earth Defense and El Dorado (I thought it was Eldorado). Earth Defense hosts my highest score of 121 million some odd from a round I kept getting multiball and invasion but I never learned how I triggered multiball and have never passed 30 million since. I find the table is a little easy to kill yourself on. Though I played it again and finally got a kickback. El Dorado I find is my least favourite on Zen Pinball 3D I just don't like flicking the ball up for it to come speeding back after hitting nothing at times, though ball saver is easy to get at least and the multiball I find is neat with the ability to bring an extra ball in when you have two but only starting you with two pinballs.

I love Epic Quest and Paranormal on Zen Pinball 2. Epic Quest is probably the most compelling table to want to play to the end, and to continue playing from game to game, since you have things you can carry over to your next game: it's very easy to enable ball save and fairly difficult to drain down the sides, and easy to keep doing multiballs to earn points and extra balls. Paranormal has lots of interesting stuff all over the table and lots of flippers to use, and it's pretty easy to enable the left kickback and magna save and avoid draining down the right side: it also has a lot of multiball modes and ways to earn extra balls.

Of the Zen Pinball 3D tables, Excalibur is my favourite because there are a lot of different things to do to score points, and Shaman my least favourite, just because the theme is cheesy lame to me. I feel neutral about El Dorado: doesn't really excite me or turn me off one way or the other. Earth Defense I really like the theme of it, but it seems like the only way to score lots of points is with the multiball, which isn't too hard to trigger the first time, but then it takes a while to be able to trigger it again, which creates a lot of time where you're doing tasks that you realize really aren't going to earn you a lot of points, and the invasions are annoying.

I really prefer the Tesla table. The "steam punk" look and feel is really spot on, the non-pinball elements are minimal and the gameplay involves a lot more than just shooting ramps. And I currently have the #1 highscore

I want the Tesla table, but I don't want to rebuy El Dorado and Shaman to get it. I hope it comes as individual DLC for the 3DS.
