You guys are spoiled kids, who can't separate fun from good quality. The whole point of this game it to have large scale battles. You can't do that with 64 or less players. 256 people is a lot of players. Ive never even heard of a shooter that had 256 AI in one level. And why is lag such a bad thing. My friends and I used to pull out the worst quality shooter, star fox assault, and do so many crazy things on it just to get lag. Its crazy because everything is in slow motion and everybody ends up dying. Shooting games should be fun, not serious. People who play games really seriously don't have lives.
Actually, I won't be getting it, because of the fact that I am poor and can't afford a PS3.
And having a lot of players automatically makes it good quality?

Why is lag a bad thing? Maybe because it ruins the game? Missing sure shots and being unable to move properly due to the delay from input to execution might have been fun for you, but not the majority of people.

but xbox live is pretty laggy cause there are no dedicated servers, but its true the bc servers are really crappy!
Well I don't want to turn this into an argument, but I've never had a lag problem with anything but Bad Company on Live. Doesn't EA use its own servers? I know that they don't use Nintendo WFC for Wii games. I think that it is just EA.

The most started out fine but quickly turned to worthless drivel. 256 different people is just excessive, that 64 you initially mentioned is still more than necessary. It shouldn't be commended just because no one's gone there before.
I don't know why you'd purposefully go out of your way to get lag. Sure it might be amusing for a bit, but the actual gameplay is much more enjoyable (and if not, surely a different game would be..). Star Fox Assault is fun though, tis a nice, shooter that one can easily pick up.
Then near the end we see some icky casual/scrub elitism, where you tell people how to play their games, and that playing to win and become skillful is wrong.

EA does use its own servers. There servers aren't that great either, speaking from experience.
I plan to get this game if it gets good enough reviews, but I may not. If I get it, it's probably going to have to be a spur of the moment thing.
i got it but havent played it yet. seems to be a good game. and some of those reviews are trashe. half of them are off of the beta which have two big differences!
