True that. It would have incredible lag on Xbox live. I can't imagine what'll happen with PSN as the server. I'd be very happy to be proven wrong, though (not like I should care, since I'm quite content with my 360 and Wii.)

I don't really get the appeal of this game... and online-only, generic FPS for up to 256 players... with lackluster graphics and controls (didn't like them in the Beta)... with mediocre graphics and sound, for an underperformer console... the game depends too much on people playing it, that the moment hype starts going down (it is overhyped, give it a month or less after release), the community will start to die, specially since there's supposed to be better games this year... if no other good games release after it in a good while, then it might be worth it...

Wow. You're totally right. I never got why everyone was so excited for it. A person doesn't need 255 other people to have fun in a multiplayer game (unless an MMORPG, which is a different case.) I'll take quality over quantity any day. I think that when a developer focus' too much on online multiplayer, they forget that in the future it won't be as good, simply because there won't be people to play with sort of like Warhawk (not right now, mind you.) Also, does it support chat among everyone playing in the game? If that's the case, it'll be the most curse words you'll ever hear at once.

256 is just too much IMO...maybe if they tried doing it with a more popular and worked on series, like Call of Duty or Halo. More people would try it then.
Actually I played the BETA and its really fun and I didn`t endure any lag. So all of you people who "assume" the worse should really play the BETA before saying whether it`s good or bad.

I too played the LAG BETA... true, it isn't a slideshow-kind LAG fest, but it wasn't a fluid experience by any means... and tehre were only like 140 players...
@moomoo haven't thought of the ingame chat... with LAG it could actually be a good thing PS3's lack of cross-game chat, since it would be one thing less to disable to be able to play LAG lol

enoguh with the LAG. if you can get a better connection there will be no lag. and i got many games with 255 other players, no lag. maybe you should try a different router that has a better connection speed. try an 8mbs or whatever connection speed like me, mine works great! just trying to help!
I've got a 3 Mbps down / 1 Mbps up connection, 8 Mbps is not yet available here and shouldn't be needed since every other device in my house works flawlessly... only one with problems is that underperforming console, specially with LAG
and you're mixing info there, the router you use doesn't dictate the speed of your internet connection, that's something that's capped on the ISP side

You do know that it was... you know... a BETA? Right? You have to come to expect lag somewhere, especially on such an innovative game. Oh and guys its MAG not LAG you... never mind.
