I was hesitant at picking up this game at first but finally going on sale for 39.99 New, I said what the hey. I finally just started playing it and can I say that I am actually thoroughly enjoying the game. Even though I don't get as much gaming time as I would like do to a moving in process, work, and college, I really like the game. I played the first one and it seemed to repetative and actually pretty boring. But, Assassins Creed 2 seems to raise the bar and take a pretty good story and turn it into a great one. I wanted to know what other people's thoughts were on the game that have picked it up and played it or maybe just their view based off of reviews and word of mouth.
Currently playing it myself, and I must say I like upgrades brought by the Codex Pages a lot. Reading the pages and finding out that Altaïr was a jerk was sort of a disappointment though.

This game is one of the best Action/Adventure games ever made....not exagerating. It improved on the original in everyway posible and then some. Truly epic.
Exceptional game. The DLC packs are good additions as well, though both fairly short. My only fault with the game is that i've done everything. One of the few games that i'd be happy to pay for more DLC Chapters, but looks like they're focusing on the third game. Which i will immediately buy. =)
@Brennan Heh, thanks. Had the nickname attached to me for almost 20 years now, so i kinda like it too. =)
I have the game for 360; from what i've heard the versions are essentially identical, but the load times may be a bit shorter with a PS3-install. Though the load times were never particualrly long to a degree that i remember being annoyed, and they did a sweet job keeping them to a minimum.
There were rumors/unconfirmed reports floating that they wanted to even get the game out by the holiday season, but were more realistically shooting for around this time next year. Since they've already confirmed that it'll be focused around Ezio again, and the developers have implied that there will be a lot more of a tying into Desmond's real-world side of things, it may be that they already have the story and concepts done, and just have do get to the programming and such.
