Has anybody bought any of them ? What is the status when it comes to physical controls and most importantly is the version of III based on the Super Famicom version ? (If it is I will get it immediately).
Some of the others are on sale but not III (Either iOS or Android is fine by me - physical controls is desirable).

Yeah, I'd like to know how good they are as well. I've been thinking about picking one up (either VIII or IV), as I've never played a DQ game before, but I'm not sure how well my Galaxy Tab 3 would run them.
Unfortunately I think VIII is out of the question (I've heard that it's so poorly optimized, it struggles to run on even the newest tablets), but I should be able to run IV, which is an upscaled port of the DS remake.
For the record, touch controls don't bother me (from my experience with Chaos Rings on my old iPod Touch, they don't hinder menu based turn based combat, IMO).
Just got III on Android and refunded it. My Android tablet is too heavy to play it like you need to. It is played in portrait mode with the controls right in the middle. I am going to get it on my ipad air because it is lighter. Be great on a 7" but I don't have one. Don't think that would work on VIII because it would take too long to buy.
The game itself seems like it is going to be brilliant. It captivated me immediately. and it is the Super Famicom version (In English there is only the NES version / GBC port and a bad incomplete translation patch).
(To be fair it is number 3 on this list behind only FF VII and FF X)
I only have Dragon Quest I on my phone so far but will definitely get the other two (II is actually on sale at the moment in the EU). It's very decent and the controls are simple and intuitive. The music is nicely done and I like how the script has everyone speak in sort of mock Shakespearean English. All in all a good fit for a phone and it has a quick save function so it is good for short bursts of play.
I wouldn't trust that list. The fact FFX is on top but also twice is a giveaway.
(Tokimeki Memorial is also listed a few times with different spellings)
