I love playing anime based games, I was just playing Zone of the Enders: the Fist of Mars for GBA (I recommend this to any turn based strategy fan) and I was thinking how cool it would be if there was an MD-Geist game Gears style, I would buy that in an instant! Any one else have a "dream anime game" that they would like to see?

I love DragonBallZ Tenkaichi 3. It rocked out the Wii system.

I liked the Gundam: Battle Assault fighting series on the PSX back in the day. I think I still remember some button combos...

The Bleach fighters on the DS are pretty good, and Tenkaichi 3 is fairly decent. As for dream games, I would love to see a Neon Genesis Evangelion game on the 360 and I have a great idea for one. It's very detailed but I'm a huge fan of the series and I've not included any plot spoilers, although it does say about some of the battle mechanics in the series. That's nothing much though.
Gameplay and modesStory Mode: I'd use several different stories, one for each different character, but limit it to Eva Pilots only. As for story, I'd like to see it based on the new Rebuild Of Evangelion quadrilogy, no game has done that yet as it's fairly recent and they could tie the game into that. To fit in with the rest of the series outside battles, maybe it could have an open-world setting where you perform tasks, interact with ther characters and lets you explore Tokyo-3. Also, at the end, I could do a final mode like with Sonic, for the end of the story and the game, setting up the end of each different story for this mode to make it feel more Epic. I'd also have difficulty levels but this would only really affect Battles.Co-op mode: It wasn't uncommon that you'd see 2 or 3 Eva's fighting an angel together in the series, so this would make sense. I'd also have an option to do Online co-op but keep it mainly to the battles as open-world's don't work too well for co-op. Boss Mode: If people didn't want to go through the story mode and they just wanted to battle the angels again, I'd include this to avoid frustration and keep the difficulty levels.Battle Mode: Have the Eva's fighting each other but I'd add way more than just the main 3 Eva's (Each With Different Abilities), I'd go deeper into the series and find more. I'd also use clones if I couldn't find enough but give them enough unique features and different color designs to make them stand out. I'd have several modes, including a Team Battle, Deathmatch and the other usual stuff, with maybe a couple of modes suited to the Evangelion universe. This would of course, all be available online and offline. There would also be a customization mode for players to create their own Eva's.
.Battle MechanicsI think the Eva's would make for some interesting battle mechanics too when fighting the Angels.
1: The Game could use the sync ratio of the Eva pilots, where players do some kind of button minigame (I know but what else is there?) to determine the ratio, with (Obviously) a better ratio meaning better control of the Eva which would grant you something like more moves or increased power. (This is where it would be better on Wii with the vitality sensor but 360 seems like a better choice overall)2: I could use the idea of the Power cord attached to the Eva's and do it just like the Anime, have a special setting for how much power you have left when it's severed depending on the mission and you have to beat the game within the time or be destroyed. 3: Have Weapons placed across the city in case you lose your weapon.4: All Angels are different so I'd keep them that way in the game, all of them unique in a particular manner so you'd have to use different strategies to defeat them, which would help avoid the game feeling repetitive.5: There will be others of course but those ones stand out a bit more
.Presentation and DesignsCharacter Design: I'd maybe cel shaded character designs to stay true to the Anime, as I can't really imagine the characters looking too good in proper 3D. Sound: I'd use songs from the soundtrack of the Anime TV series and Rebuild to keep it faithful but have a few new songs in there so it doesn't feel stale. I could add a lot of music so people would have the option to choose what they want to hear, just like Brawl.Menu's: Give them a futuristic, mecha style to them.Cutscenes: I haven't seen the Rebuild movies that are currently out, so I don't know if I'd use footage straight from the movie or create original cutscenes. I'd probably do both to be honest. There would be a menu option to replay the videos if you wanted to or missed something.Saves: I'd allow you to save anywhere outside of battles through the pause menu.Unlockables: This would include additional modes, extras for the customization mode, alternate skins for the Eva's, characters and Eva's for multiplayer but I'd also have Concept Art and Character Designs included as well to please die-hard fans, as well maybe an episode of the TV series, probably the first and second one with maybe a trailer for the 3rd and some chapters of the manga. I'd also try and get a video interview with Anno about the Rebuild series and maybe a trailer for the films to please the fans further.
.The thing I'd really like most though, is if they did make that, I'd like to see the game released OUTSIDE Japan, unlike the others.

@TerranigmaWow, it looks like you have been thinking about an NGE game for quite some time, thats a pretty detailed idea for a game. It sounds wicked.

I've been working on it for a little while. I absolutely Love NGE so a game like that would be an absolute dream for me.
