So, um...how does randomizing work again? Like, I'm wanting one of the four graphics (they're words) to appear...Dunno how to set that up though...and yeah, haven't been on this thread much since I've never got any help on my other problems, so I haven't been doing much with microgames yet. T_T

Well, I'm back, and I really don't feel like going through the 15 or so pages I missed right now, nor do I really feel like playing D.I.Y. So maybe I'll post here again when I feel like doing so.

Yeah I did, might look into that again, but I didn't mean it like that, I meant just randomizing a graphic. Like having one of the four appear at random...like the microgame I'm working on is supposed to have one of the four words appear (basically a color) at random.

I played it, dunno why-...oh, I remember now, lol... One last thing to see if its possible, after the word appears I'm supposed to have 10 or so graphics fall to the "ground" of the stage randomly. Wanting to have everything randomized but have one of them be the right graphic, its basically identifying the object that holds the correct color...quite easy actually...except that its colorless, lol.
EDIT: Meant to add, when I mean fall, I mean...somewhat realistically, like according to the other objects like if they would stack or whatever....if not then I'll find another way to "summon them". lol
@BellGoRiiing Make two dummy objects, assign this AI to both:
When 1-1 is hit & When a time between 1-1 & 1-2 is hit: Turn DUMMY switch ON.
then for the graphic: AI1 When 1-1 is hit & While DUMMY-L switch is OFF & While DUMMY-R switch is OFF: Change art to ART A. AI2 When 1-1 is hit & While DUMMY-L switch is ON & While DUMMY-R switch is OFF: Change art to ART B.
... and so on with OFF-ON and ON-ON.
For answers and stuff just use the dummy switches to check.
@BellGoRiiing Randomize is realy a boring work, i just did one game that randomize 8 itens D; i didnt realy understoo what SPB tryed to tell u but this is how i do for like 4 objects to randomize obj1: When 1-1 is hit & When a time between 1-1 & 1-4 is hit: Turn obj switch ON.
ob2: When 1-2 is hit & When a time between 1-2 & 1-4 is hit & when ob1 switch is off: Turn obj switch ON.
ob3: When 1-3 is hit & When a time between 1-3 & 1-4 is hit & when ob1 switch is off when ob2 switch is off: Turn obj3 switch ON.
ob4: 1-4 is hit & when ob1 switch is off & when ob2 switch is off: & when obj3 switch is off: turn ob4 switch on.
realy hard work right? D: with 8 i just created a blank object for and randomize it for 1-2, with a switch and the rest of the designt took a +1 time so it would not overlap

I made some minor graphical improvements to my RobotMove game and wanted to submit it for the robots contest, but here at the conference I can't get the DSi to connect to any Wifi (actually, it can connect fine in DSi mode for the web browser, but for some reason Nintendo failed to make Warioware DIY a DSi-enhanced title, so no encrypted wireless access ). Oh well, it's too difficult to get chosen anyhow.
If you're trying to randomize multiple objects, that's not the best way to do it. Your randomization will be very uneven if handled that way, because you're making certain triggers depend on others. What you should do is to think of your switches in binary fashion; so, if you want 8 possible outcomes, that means 2 raised to the third power, ie. 3 binary switches. So, set up 3 objects that each have a 50/50 chance (ie. when a time between 1-1 and 1-2 AND when 1-1 is hit), and then combine these switches for your 8 possibilities (so your 8 objects would look for combinations of those triggers like 0-0-1, 0-1-0, 0-1-1, etc, corresponding to binary number 1, 2, 3, up to 8). Otherwise, certain outcomes will be much more frequent than others.
