@diwdiws I... literally said that. You mentioned how if it lost much in terms of graphical quality, it would just "be another action rpg," or some such.
I don't think a relative downgrade in visual fidelity will turn something that is genuinely good into "just another," action rpg.
If you think I sound a fool here, oh boy.
You should hear me on Spotify or Apple Music.
@diwdiws The GIF is compressed too. I can assure you it looks a lot better on screen. Anyway, The Witcher isn't Uncharted pretty or anything. It can't be. But it doesn't look bad either. Visual fidelity isn't what's selling the game through visuals, but like you said, its ability to bring life to its environments.
Anyway, I think CDPR is way too busy with Cyberpunk 2077. Though I guess they could outsource the project.
@FrankGarrett We saw with Ark: Survival Evolved what happens if you do your damndest to get a game running. It CAN run. It just won't look like anything like the game on other consoles and PC.
Storage is likely the biggest hurdle though. Currently it's wasting like 50 or so GB on my PC (I say wasting because the game's combat is garbage so I was not enticed to keep playing). Shrinking that for the Switch will require a 32 GB card or a partial download.
Metroid, Xenoblade, EarthBound shill
I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!
Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.
Witcher III punishes 1060 already unless you got 1070 or higher and that's not running at 4K but 2556x1440 only. So this game will be a test and until a Pro model comes out to handle those specs Witcher III isn't going to happen here.
I played this game to death when it came out and it made my base model PS4 sound like it was going to explode. I don't think it'd ever happen for the Switch.
If we see ANY Witcher game it'd maybe be the first and/or second game, Gwent or maybe Thronebreaker.
