That thing about Samsung fixing the Nintendo Switch's auto switching problem is somewhat misleading. It's just not a Nintendo thing; in fact, Samsung is responding to the majority of users having the same exact problem with their Apple TVs.
But yeah, even if Samsung offers a fix for the problem, the problem is going to persist for me (Samsung TV user here, too. SAMSUNG FER LIFE), since I use a HDMI Switch for the Switch's HDMI connection. Not to mention my TV is a bit old... unless maybe Samsung can find a way to solve the problem of HDMI switches sending phantom signals to the

@Joeynator3000 The issue affects Smart TVs that "intelligently" change to any HDMI input automatically when it detects you've turned it on. If your TV doesn't do that and you change inputs manually on the remote, no need to worry.
Smart TVs are the new fangled ones that basically run Android and have all kinds of apps on them like it's their own little console built into the set (Netflix apps, photo gallery apps, etc.)
The Smart TVs also spy on you, so there's that issue that won't be patched...

I know exactly how Capcom milks franchises. Plus we sit here and cater to them because otherwise they make us wait for years. If we don't buy the revisions in between the main games then they think we don't want anymore.
