@Maxz Can you not stop watching it either? Glad to know I'm not just egotistical. I don't mean to mock Tsurii, of course; I just really love doing that.
I have a capture card of the sort that writes directly to an SD card or USB drive. It's relatively cheap (around £80 I think) and much easier than the kind you'd use for livestreaming. I haven't really used it in a while because I've been mostly playing in handheld mode out of laziness, but I've kicked that habit now.
What I like to do is take clips of my online gameplay and make YouTube montages or post them on Twitter. I've basically no audience due to my lack of socialising, but I enjoy it anyways.
I think the best bit is the part where you outspeed every drop of enemy ink by a tentacle's breadth. And then the 180 swivel is just the cherry on the cake. Then glacé on the cherry would be if you took out that squid-fool on yo tail, but it's still a pretty marvellous bit of footage. And a real credit to Splatoon that it looks so good in slow motion!
@Maxz ...I'm not sure which parts are typos and which are intentional silliness.
I'm reluctant to produce many clips of myself looking cool, for fear of seeming cocky. But that's encouraging feedback! It's, uh, not slow motion on my PC, but I guess that's a pretty big gif, so.
@BLP_Software Looking at the full recording again, I lasted a while longer after that, but you did indeed get me.
@Zyrac I've corrected the typos leaving just the deliberately stupid bits. I wish I could give some epic reason for the original mess like being drunk on 50 year old squid ink saké, but I'm just really tired. Excuse me.
I think the slow motion thing was just my device - it's sped up now. But I do recommend watching it (deliberately) in slo-mo if you can. It's pretty epic.
You know what would be neat? If they released some new gear themed around Halloween! Like a Jack-o-Lantern helmet, a Witch's Hat, Dracula's Suit and Cape and so on. Overall, some new gear would be sweet. Got almost every one there is and my money's piling up fast.
Note that I'm not looking anything like in that picture. My normal gear just doesn't scream MILLIONAIRE like these ones.
Am I stupid for not realising this? This revelation prompted me to spend a while running around stages in recon mode and appreciating the backgrounds. I particularly like the forklift on Port Mackerel that someone can't quite figure out how to drive. And Manta Maria's surroundings are quite pretty.
Power vs. stamina doesn't make sense to me either (if anything, it should be acceleration or top speed vs. stamina), but it's still better than our Splatfest theme...
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!
The toilet paper one is inspired. I don't usually say this, but Japan normally gets the short end of the stick when it comes to SplatFests.
Last time they got to choose between two bland-ass McDonald products, and in the first game they were riddled with equally vacuous product placement. I think they even got the same choice of "which is your favourite favour of instant ramen" on two occasions.
@Dev It would be really cool if Pearl was rich because her family owned the enperry brand. Also, everyone knows the enperry dualies are the best dualies. Fight me. Anyway, the dualies seem to be the only currently released enperry weapon, so it would make sense if Pearl grew up with these dualies, and got better with them as time went on. Nintendo needs to just release a book with Splatoon lore. A ton of people would buy it I'm sure.
