I was playing the demo, but then the game released today- I guess the digital deluxe version released January 15th, while the normal version drops January 18th (my birthday- seems a great game always drops on my day- last year it was Persona 4 Golden I think).
This game's movement and combat feels so good, I have fun just dashing around and slashing combos at the air. Similar to Metroid Dread in that respect. Sometimes games just feel so good to control, mere movement is entertaining.
I'm also blown away by how good this game looks on Switch. I'd seen the praise and comparison videos, but playing it in person really is something else. It's crazy this game, running on 7 watts in handheld mode, can look this similar to versions pulling 200 watts.
If this is what 3rd parties can do with Switch, just imagine how good games are going to look and run on Switch 2.

I had 10 bucks on Amazon, so I caved and pre-ordered.
I played the demo and the movement feels silky, which is where a lot of my enjoyment for games comes from.
I've played every single Prince game and more or less loved them all, and I'm stoked to play the full version of this one. No way I'm paying Ubisoft for early access, though - I hate that stuff.
The first time we saw this game it gave me Shadow Complex vibes.
I expect this to be as good as that was.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,252 games (as of April 30th, 2024)

I've opted to skip the demo and wait for physical release. This game looked hot from first reveal and it's great to see others talking about how it delivers on that early promise.
Too many punks seemed to get hung up on the protag's haircut, the trailer music, and just the fact that Ubisoft are anywhere near it. Their loss.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
It’s on my list but 2024 is already hitting me hard with the new releases. I am hoping if dragon dogma 2 doesn’t eat my life that i can get it and peach showtime in march.

It's had pretty good reviews but I'm tempted to leave it a bit before buying.
Ubisoft games always seem to drop a lot in price over time (unlike Nintendo ones) plus there's the usual New Year problem of having bought big towards the end of last year and built up a backlog.

Ubisoft sales get pretty crazy. I bought Immortals Fenyx Rising ( a quite good game even though it got some bad press for 'copying' BotW) for 85% off and mario + rabbids Kingdom Battle for 75% off.
I'll be getting my copy tomorrow. Very much excited to get into the game. There's not many new games I'm looking forward to on switch, so this should keep me busy for a good while.
I really hope enough people show up for this game. A great game that's getting high praise, no patches needed( that I'm aware), and lengthy at $50. Seems like a no Brainer as long as one has the funds for it.
I’m about 3 hours in and it feels like you took Hollow Knight, gave it Dread visuals, a Bayonetta combo system and added in traps and parkour. Loving it.
It’s not as tough as Hollow Knight (playing on second highest difficulty) but the difficulty is entirely adjustable. Oh and runs great on Switch and thankfully you don’t need a Ubi account like on other platforms (hate obligatory account stuff).
I was one of the people a little bummed we weren’t getting a 3D PoP but I’m betting this’ll end up among my favourites this year.
Really hope people pick it up, I know Ubisoft is (in)famous for its sales but if great games like this don’t sell they’ll just make more copy-paste sandbox and micro transaction nightmares. Which would be a shame since there’s obviously plenty of talent at Ubisoft.

Between coming out right after everyone spent all their holiday money and the fact that Ubisoft is well known for sales, I suspect the game will sell a lot of copies over the whole year but somewhat spread out.
@FishyS I get the holiday sale thing for sure. And even the fact that ubisoft will discount it shortly after launch. I'm just hoping with it being a good version of a game on day 1, that people splurge a little.
Tip: When you enter the market, make sure you go to the top right, there’s a tutorial dude there who basically explains the hidden hack-and-slash fighting system in the game.
I played the demo only knowing like 30% of the moves you could do. I don’t think he’s in the demo (strange choice).
