Topic: Ports and Re-releases: What Would U Do?

And yes, the title is intentional.

So I have seen this conversation a few times about ports onto the Switch. Namely because third parties tend to half-ass everything to gain a bigger capital return. A lot of good reasons many, like myself, are against ports and especially re-releases. I, personally, generally see them as a way to rest one's laurels on one successful sales victory and ride that glory till it fades enough to move to the next one. Never feels like it's a move forward for gaming.

But the landscape changes and development takes longer and longer (and gets increasingly more expensive), so some of these options are viable to funnel in more income for a short effort to fund the next big item they wish to make. And now Nintendo is also doing this. However, unlike others, Nintendo has (so far anyway) offered a little more oomph beyond basic "total package" releases of pre-included DLC. This has worked for them so far. With successful sales for Mario Kart 8 and filling in a steady release schedule for the first year (and almost unheard of for a company period).

So I ask all of you; Say you can choose a game from the Wii U and port it over, what would it be? What little changes would you make or add to make the next release more enticing? This can be any game (and some from even older consoles). And we're talking re-releases here, so no total remaking of a game that you decide, we're talking lowering efforts to make a steadier release schedule.

I will cast a vote towards something easy, but not often expected from Nintendo; Fatal Frame for the Wii U.

The game got a lot of controversial decisions from Nintendo when being released on the Wii U, including a non-retail release for a relatively large game (as in scope). So I would love to see this game take a cartridge route with a small "diary" faded notebook attached inside.

I would make a few functionality to it as well, with an option of the portable mode having a motion control feature for on-the go. And with Social Media being a huge thing, I would incorporate a feature where there is themes options of how to share the ghostly visages you snap, such as ghastly writing on the photo or just share snaps like usual. I would also add a few key sections which the players would experience others "ghost" that would show them their memories of places they've beaten or enjoyed. (think similar to Dark Souls meets Miiverse 0.5).

I would also add a few new outfits from places like Xenoblade 2 and a Mario cap/mustache combo which would replace certain sound effects with Mario ones.

Anti-Matter

No controversial at all for me.
I prefer Wii U port to Switch because I wanna play my specific games on the go.
As long it's not lazy port, I'm fine with Wii U ports.
The more is merrier.

Micro-machines 2: Turbo Tournament.

This would be so good on switch. Online gameplay would be very competitive as well.
