Ah, my favorite type of sequel. The "apology for the last game" sequel.

Bioshock is 10 years old. Let's play through its horrific environment and see why its so beloved!

I remember being disappointed with Mario Tennis Open when it came out.

But then Ultra Smash came around and proved that things can always be worse.

So... This title already looks more promising already. I'll be looking forward to more information...

I still wonder about Mii as playable characters or not for Aces.
Because there is a Japanese Switch games featuring playable Mii characters.

@Anti-Matter: Who knows? They were in Open, but not Ultra Smash. It could go either way.

This looks like a good one, just hoping to see more before it releases. Love the boss idea!

Now where’s Mario Strikers?

So I guess the WiiU game was more of a paid beta of this.

@Meowpheel Yeah, it also makes me think about Amiibo Festival. Possibly Amiibo Festival was originally going to be a mainline Animal Crossing but got changed to an amiibo board game when Nintendo changed focus from Wii U to NX in early 2015.

It's so nice to see Nintendo going back to roots in Zelda, 3D Mario and now Mario Tennis. It's clear the developers are now putting all their hearts into these games and I'm really interested in Aces. Bought Tennis Open but had some problems that seem to be solved here (like a proper story mode with boss battles yay!).

Do you think this Mario Tennis game will have more interesting courts rather than just the traditional kind, like the ones in Power Tennis?

I haven't enjoyed a Mario Tennis title since the 64's entry. I'll be taking my chances with this one. The story mode sounds interesting.

@Dev There's already a forest court with taller than normal grass and pipes along the net which may or may not contain hazards. Speaking of Power Tennis, something akin to Power Shots seems to be returning.

Alone, a force. Together, a force of nature.

Man, I haven't been excited for a Mario Tennis title since... GameCube? Even that was disappointing a little with it not having an RPG story mode. Of course, this won't have the rpg elements either most likely, but if the story mode is done right that's fine, Golf Story satisfied me pretty well on the RPG aspect of sports titles for now. Regardless, this looks like it's a port of Ultra Smash with another year and a halfs worth of contents right? Tbh, that's probably the best case scenario for getting an amazing Mario Tennis anyways.
