Played through the first chapter in the demo. Really, really good first impression! It definitely has a similar feel to Ace Attorney, but it’s different enough from a gameplay and writing perspective to make it stand out as different. Planning on playing the second chapter either today or tomorrow. Can’t wait for Friday to get the full game!

Reviews are still processing, but right now, this game is sitting at 86 on Metacritic and 85 on Opencritic. It's looking like a hit from pretty much all sides; so far I haven't seen a review lower than an 8/10 posted!
While I feel the 10/10 given here is a bit generous for this game - though it IS excellent in many ways - I'd say a solid 9 fits it more. But hey, why listen to me when there's a demo that can help kick people off the fence?

@Tyranexx I feel that the only reason it got 10/10 was because who did the review. We know how much the reviewer likes that game so I can't help feel that they are being a bit biased.

Folk complaining a game is getting too good/high of a review makes a nice change to people complaining it's getting too low of a score especially with no mention it's because of the big tech propaganda agenda.
@Tasuki Agreed. I read the whole thing and even thought it would cop a 9 due to the mentions of how the "Ghost Puzzles" are underwhelming and the mild complaint related to the onscreen bars related to the resolution....Though the latter reason wouldn't bother some I'm sure. I love the original game, but I do recall a couple of the puzzles being finicky. And the game's forced stealth section is too.

Though the 10/10 here may be a bit biased as some have said, at least the game deserves the high praise and if it makes people check it out more, that’s worth a 10 to me. People will have their own opinions anyway, so might as well give it a push so more people play this gem of a game. I played it on IOS a while ago and was positively blown away myself, so can’t recommend it enough.
I keep buying fighting games for some reason, even though I barely got anyone to play against.

After playing Ghost Trick, I can confidently say that this image is somehow even funnier with context.

@Eel Yeah, that is really annoying. I have the game on Steam and it also didn’t give me the Steam achievements for the first two chapters. Probably just gonna replay them at some point so I can unlock it all

This is my second playthrough of the game, having played the DS original a long time ago, so it’s been great seeing the little details and references now that I know.
Like Lynne deciding she’s the other detective because that’s who she saw first, and later Sissel agreeing with Lynne about being comfortable in confined spaces, he does remember details about his own nature, but his view is distorted.
(potential spoilers, please don't tell me if I'm right or not)
