Can’t believe this game is coming back. Its so weird seeing it in hd.

I was considering just making this thread and saying nothing but "Buy Ghost Trick".

Ghost Trick is made by the Ace Attorney creator and lives up to that series, which is all anyone should need to know to buy it tbh.

Hopefully they make a sequel soon!

Bursts with happiness

Any Ace Attorney fans, or even anyone who likes point & click mysteries, should look into this. It's best to go in as blind as possible. Despite not touching the former series at all outside of a couple of demos - and I do intend to try the Switch trilogy - I found Ghost Trick on the DS a fun time when I finally played it in 2020. One of the best DS titles I've played, and it also contains one of my favorite gaming endings.

Interested in this one, but know little to nothing about it. I've only heard it mentioned as a hidden gem.

@StarPoint I swear, the minute this game's release date is announced, I'm going to get a calendar specifically so that I can mark off the days until it comes out and yes: I am being dead serious.

Between GB/A coming to NSO, me getting my old Wii back working and Ghost Trick getting ported to modern platforms, I am FEASTING when it comes to retro offerings right now.

SUPER happy to hear that Kitagawa is rearranging the music! He was an absolute beast with the GAA soundtrack so I can’t wait to hear his work again. I haven’t spoiled myself on this game’s soundtrack, but I have heard that it’s really good so I’m looking forward to seeing how it gets spruced up.

Part of me in the back of my mind was like, “Is Takumi gonna do a ‘just one more thing’ with some Ace Attorney ports or something?” I knew it wasn’t gonna happen but man that would’ve been awesome. I still just can’t believe this game is even being ported in the first place, so I’ll absolutely take what I can get here.

How did NL not pick up on this yet?! Slackers. Too Mario-crazy. XD (Kidding)

And yes, I can confirm that Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective's soundtrack is superb. I'd YT link a couple of my favs, but I also don't want to spoil anything.

@Tyranexx Appreciate the spoiler awareness. Very interested to see exactly how the music reveals plot info, the Ace Attorney games do that exact thing as well so that’s only getting me more interested! But I’m gonna stay strong and not look anything up about it.

This is probably my favorite game I've never played. (Kinda wish I hadn't watched an LP of it now, but oh well, the commentary was entertaining in its own right.) Already have it preordered even though it's $10 more than I expected, and despite the fact that I probably won't be playing it for a while so I can continue to forget about what happened in the let's play, so it'd probably make more sense to wait for a sale, but...eh

@StarPoint I consider any music title spoilers to be minor at best, but on the other hand this game is best experienced as blindly as possible. Interesting to know that the same happens with the Ace Attorney series, though as Shu Takumi is involved I'm not surprised lol. I'll be sure to avoid anything from the soundtracks there for now (I do intend to start playing through the original trilogy on Switch within the next few months).

@Tyranexx The original trilogy doesn't have as many spoiler tracks, though there are certainly a few. Great Ace Attorney, on the other hand, has a TON of them. Especially some of the titles in Resolve's soundtrack. That's one I recommend avoiding for the most part until you've played through it for yourself.

I look forward to seeing your opinions on the trilogy, as the first and third games are definitely some of my all-time favorites. Definitely another series that's best to go in as blindly as you can, especially in the later cases.

@StarPoint Duly noted regarding the soundtracks and not spoiling myself. Especially regarding The Great Ace Attorney; I have that backlogged physically as well and picked it up early since I was worried it would be a limited run lol (I own a physical Japanese AA Trilogy import that should work in English). I've meant to start the first AA game for some time but just haven't gotten to it yet. Too many games, so little time.
